I love Elvis in full chase mode! Poetry in motion! Too bad the toddler didn’t have any of those gold foil wrapped chocolate coins like you find in little mesh bags at Christmas time. Santa always left some of those in my Christmas stocking when I was a kid.
Nothing to do with the comic, but a throw-out to the Orb: I am moving to Des Moines in about a month for a promotion. Anyone from around there? I am looking for advice on where not to live (is there anyplace sketchy or known to be unsafe) and anything I need to know about living there? Is there someplace I ‘have to’ go or something I have to experience once I am there? I know I will be leaving my beloved wineries behind, but there has to be something in Iowa that they are proud of that I need to experience in order to be accepted by the natives….
ah, this version answers the question I had reading the original version: were they happy or disappointed to find chocolate instead of gold? Apparently mice have more use for chocolate.
Good morning, and happy Purrsday (and Pi day), orbsters and orbabies. All quiet on the Barrie front today, Yum Yum has not yet started her daily zoomies.
Today is a day off for me, so i can spend all day getting the parakeets transferred into their new home.
It could take all day. I don’t like to force the issue when transferring birds from one cage to another. Cages go door-to-door, and the waiting begins.
Happy Pi Day! Here’s a pie the cats would find better than chocolate (and it’s a realzie) https://munchies.vice.com/en_us/article/nz9pdw/stargazy-pie-is-the-guiding-light-of-cornish-christmas
They are stealing the human child’s trap! The truce is over.
I had a mouse infestation last year. After I captured and released them outside, I found the beginnings of their nest in an unused cabinet. They’d been stealing minature Hershey bars and collecting them there. The ones with nuts and crunchy things had already been eaten. And, no, mice aren’t poisoned by chocolate. I looked it up.
Today we moved Lily outside. Last night all the kitties got new flea collars. This morning my daughter moved Lilly onto the back porch for breakfast. Lilly doesn’t want to be outside without people so we have been hanging around with her outside. She wants to be an indoor, alpha-female, and only cat. When she’s indoors, she gets aggressive with the other cats. She also gets aggressive with people. I’m building her a shelter on the back porch and the weather has been beautiful so she shouldn’t have any problem with that.
Database has been ecstatic that Lilly isn’t around picking fights. She was alpha-female first and is almost twice Lilly’s size. Several times a day there were three-way cat fights which isn’t good for anybody.
And then there’s Reboot. He keeps asking why Lilly gets to go out and he doesn’t. He and Lilly sit on opposite sides of the front door and yell at each other. I’m anticipating a loud night.

Where is Beatrix? A Kitten’s average speed is at least Warp-5. Is she already in front of the Robber Mice?

When he’s moving fast enough that his hair blow back like that, Elvis looks like a little lion.

In other news – there are now 80 reviews at Amazon for “Lupin Leaps In.” Not too many more and we get the mice in a bowl of popcorn. ;)
Wait, that didn’t sound right.

When Robber Mice are stealing
Sure ‘tis like the chocolate’s gone
They are being chased by Elvis,
But the race runs on and on
We wonder if Elvis will catch them
Fleet of paw he is they say
But no matter what the outcome
The girls can steal our hearts away!
