“Ol’ softie.”…with a licence to kill!

For awhile I’ve contemplated doing a filk on Elvis teaching the little Siamese kitty (whom I have taken the liberty of naming Tammy) from the Shelter Stories the ways of the Siamese. To the tune of The King and I’s “We Kiss in the Shadow,” I give you “The Ways of the Siamese.”

Elvis: We hiss at the neighbors

We claw at the guests,

When we’ve had enough

We demand our rest!

…….

Tammy: I play with the yarn ball,

I wake at sunrise,

When I want breakfast

I make kitty eyes!

…….

Elvis: Together we’ll conquer the world if we choose,

Tammy, two Siamese can’t lose

…….

Together: We’ll rule all our people!

And with dignity!

We’ll conquer with cuteness

But we will never be pleased!

He’s not a softie, he’s protective. Evidence: the last panel.

Illinois is supposed to be working on it, abolishing DST, that is…but, I’m not a fan of the sun getting up at 4:30am in the middle of Summer, even if we do get up at 4:45am, so the hubs can go to work. So, I think I’d like to just stay at DST and skip the Autumnal change. THAT one wreaks merry havoc with both of us Early Birds! We end up “walking sideways”, with a vague headachey feeling, for at least a week. I guess this change affects Night Owls and the Autumnal one gets us Early Birds.

Relax, Elvis, Puck’s tail will be nice and clean in no time.

Yeah, that Elvis. Such nurturing affection he demonstrates toward all “outsiders”! A prince among pussycats! NOT!

Woman, he might have been a softy, but that was before you started feeding him kibble for senior cats. Now he’s an old curmudgeon of a meezer.

We have a pair of Siameseses and they are very protective. And this morning they are so LOUD. They don’t care about the time change, they want their breakfast. NOW!!!!!!

Today is National Napping Day (US). zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…SNORT!
