Cliff always agrees with Pam. It’s not his fault that Pam set herself up, for this. After all women have been setting themselves up for a fall, ever since that apple thing with Eve.
This happens all the time. I know. Personal experience. Every time a man is credited with a good idea or discovery, I wonder what woman told him about it.
Following a hurricane while power was still out, my neighbor and some of his friends were debating on how to remove a branch that was suspended by two wires. One of the ladies there was saying to simply grab one end and walk under the wires and the branch would pivot off. No one listened to her, so I grabbed my utility company hard hat (people assume that you know what you’re doing when you wear one) and did exactly what she said. When the guys started thanking me, I pointed to the lady and explained that it was all her idea. I made a friend that day.
So the women should become project managers then, rather than doers.
They can pick and choose which good bits they want credit for, while assigning blame for everything else.
Involves little work, just skillful footwork in dodging responsibility at every turn. You do have to do things to stay in a job, just insist everyone go through you to get answers to any questions, that you alone must be responsible for sourcing the answers to. If that sounds like responsibility, you don’t have to read the question, or the answer!
Certainly it has worked for some of my colleagues, who refuse to answer questions when it suits them (can’t read every email after all) while at the same time demanding I must help them (or I have been the worst kind of co-worker, one who is unhelpful).
Hasn’t done them any harm and they’re still in jobs, whereas I am stressed out like you wouldn’t believe, thinking of quitting and lying awake at nights with insomnia.

Pam already has the idea of hitting everyone in the room, and she will leave an indisputable mark on that.

It’s her fault they’re still alive, so this is fitting punishment.

Whose bright idea was it to have Pam at the meeting?

But first let me mansplain what this means!! Reminiscent of a bunch of old white male politicians discussing “Women’s Rights”!

Ok, to be clear, they are giving him credit, that doesn’t mean he is taking the credit. So a win for Pam.

At this point, Pam is about to go full Susan Ivanova.
