What is stranger is Americans watching TV most of the day. And don’t get me started on “Black Friday”.

I’ll never forget the first time Battlefield Band came over from Scotland for their first US tour. They almost got completely stuck in between Florida and Atlanta for a Thanksgiving Day show here. They were completely blindsided by the traffic and holiday itself.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. You have the best meal of the year and don’t have to buy anyone presents

The turkeys aren’t grateful.

Tryptophans have nothing to do with it.

I tried to figure out what part of Earth they’re looking at. I think geographical North is to the right from their orientation, maybe. I’m not sure the cartoonist took care to be accurate with those land masses, though. At first, I thought maybe that was Europe at the top, with the Strait of Gibraltar at the bottom left, but it still doesn’t quite work, because that would make the water at the very bottom left part of the Mediterranean, and we should see the Italian and Greek peninsulas there. Anybody else recognize anything in that drawing?

Mmm tryptophan….

I wish people would stop spreading the tryptophan myth. It’s the overdose of CARBS that make you sleepy.
