Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
My first impression was that the selling point would be “easy relocation” — when you move, just launch your house in the direction of your new neighborhood.
Don’t jump around too much Bleeb, you’ll start an uncontrollable motion that would be most unpleasant. And be aware of your frowning arch-enemy waiting for you in the bushes next door. He’s armed.
Vapex Realty tried to sell us a house with 10 front doors several days ago. Now Apex Realty is trying to sell us a bounce house… with an empty moat?? I’m starting to suspect sump’n here!
There was a AT&T tandem office outside of Chicago (I’m sure there were others) where there equipment frames were on springs. It was built at the start of the Cold War and was just outside the nuke blast zone, but still close enough for ground tremors.
The spring does not necessarily make it earthquake proof. If the earthquake motion matched the resonant frequency of the spring-house combination, the house and spring would bounce wildly.

On the other hand, watch out for those sudden gust of wind.

Also, there are no monster hiding in the basement.

Do not be fooled. That “spring” does not make it earthquake-proof.

That’s a very simplified way of how, in part, seismic activity is actually handled in some structures.

That entry ramp looks like it couldn’t accommodate very heavy objects… guess their furniture and appliances will have to be light.

And you don’t have to mow the lawn.

If they buy the house, does Bleeb come with it?

Although a bit more complex, that’s used all over the world.
