There was a mission critical state way back in 1960s. I was a missile tech and worked 12 hour a day 7 days a week. Time and a half plus double time on week-ends. The engineers had to be there but were salaried. Techs made significantly more money. So we set up a loft where the engineers could “rest”. It was complete with mattresses. If something went “sideways” we could get coverage anytime. Still, they were cranky.
Scott Adams (“Dilbert”) did a wonderful job of skewering management, but he also illustrated a number of foibles of employees. There are some amazing stories of real behavior on both sides.
Place I worked in the 80s had buildings with lots of labs. In the back room of one lab, a guy had put a cushion under a desk and would go sleep there. He got fired when he was found out.

Busted! Go directly to a meeting with HR. Do not pass “GO.” Do not collect $200.

That’s certainly an improvement on the George Costanza model… but it appears it needs improvement, since he got caught!

That would require me to be in fetal position to nap, which isn’t ideal. I need a meeting table version.

Came here to say George Costanza holds the patent but everyone else holds the copyright to that comment.

For a simply drawn character, the woman’s facial expression is VERY effectively communicative.
