For those who missed my late post yesterday — we’re having a Moon Maid avatar contest! There are some really good ones already, but how about the rest of you? So DT thinks Diet has been joyriding in the space coupe again and picking up hitchhikers along the way, eh?

Tracy obviously suspects the new Moon Maid is a different moon woman. Can’t wait to see what Diet says! (Nice Gouldian cliffhanger effect to make us come back tomorrow…..)

I recall that Diet Smith had taken Moon Maid under his wing, and was an important part of her life. It would make sense that he is a part of this story arc. I have always like Diet Smith.

Diet Smith is exactly the first place I expected Tracy to go for information. If he doesn’t know what’s going on, you can bet he can help Tracy find out!

Dare I say it? “The nation that controls magnetism controls the Universe.”

Looks like Diet Smith has gone off his diet. Tracy is not a small man (6’-6’2" or so, I’d guess), but Smith towers over him by a good 6" or more. So Diet is maybe, what? 350 pounds at least, and 6’6"-6’8"?—That was just musing on the strip. But Tracy’s questions are loaded, and I am anxious to see how Smith answers them!

looks like i’m not th eonly one who wanted to comment about diet smith’s weight gain. personally, i dont mind itone bit… i LIKE the way team tracy has been showing the characters’ aging processes…honeymoon is getting taller and smarter, junior is looking more mature even tho he is keeping his “classic pineapple haircut”, even mumbles was showing signs of aging. its a nice dose of reality injected into the strip…even tho tracy is akin to dick clark in the strip… the worlds oldest teenager lol!

It takes a big Space Coupe to carry a robust Diet Smith. Wot fun to see ’em both. That cigar looks like same brand as the one Dylan is puffing on the inner sleeve of his stellar new album, Tempest.

He’s been expecting Tracy but it doesn’t look like he’s been looking forward to the visit. Has someone used a Space Coupe recently or have there been other Moon people on Earth all these years?

aahh yes Old Diet has been expecting Tracy. Does he know something about MM reappearing?

Or has he watched the news stories about her sittings as everyone else has?

I believe we saw the space coupe in one of the first strips drawn by the new creative team almost a year ago am I right?

I think it was under-wraps..like an old car sitting in a garage with a car cover.

@tsull2121Yes the “moon” people all looked somewhat alike…The Tracy strip has always brought back Brothers, Uncles, Sisters, Wives and other assorted family members to “resurrect” a long dismissed character. Maybe this is a relative of the original MM?

I do hope it is the original one though…somehow back.

Speaking of getting old… I can no longer remember how they ended the whole “Moon Valley” thing once we had astronauts walking there and satellites orbiting the moon. What was the cover story, again? Anybody remember (I’m sure LOTS of you do… I’m just getting old…)

I wonder why they reintroduced Moon Maid again because the first time in this strip it was “closed chapter”.

I agree, Michyle, the Space Coupe was such a blast back in the day. I loved it then and love it that they’ve brought it back now.

Since the Space Coupe has been brought back into the striip…and “parked in the garage” so to speak…. I would LOVE to see Mrs. Chin Chillar come out of the DICK TRACY shadows and steal it to take it on a joy ride!

Space coupe? Classic symbol of everything I loved about Dick Tracy as a kid. With Moon Maid back, Mike Curtis has to at least be thinking about flying it again. I’m all over that!

How do you get the avatars? Are you drawing them yourselves? If so, that leaves me out.

Does this mean that Junior is guilty of bigamy?

ok, so i decided to do a real quick drawing of moon maid for my avatar… and yes, i drew it myself… but i did it at work so i couldnt take the proper amount of time to draw it as best i could… plus dont have my colored pencils toproperly color it in so i had to make do with sharpies and highlighters lol. hope it “qualifies” ;)

The CURRENT Mrs Tracy Jr. reminds a certain Moon Maid who a certain red headed male belongs to now. A scene that should be turning up soon….

Funny thing…Comments over 100 with “Moon Maid” in the picture. Only 67 so far with the Space Era possibly returning!
