And, I can kinda understand our canine friendâs demeanor about this whole thing. Sure, the trial is important, but, really, thereâs nothing about it that he can do anything to alter its course. So, in the end, only the end matters to him, because only the end will have any sort of branching effect into the trial and out of the trial.
Ration card. That what he was using.Everyone probably is given just so much. Now I am not backing it but this is what the Communist ideal was in writing. Everyone gets a fair share but given the facts even in Endtown it does not work. There are the well off and the ones just making it.Most are probably like Pup guy. Just getting by.We have seen money around but is it that common among the regular folks. Money may be more nostalgic than practical. This is what may be driving this trial. A NEW commodity to be regulated. An untapped resource that some group wants to control. Banning the commodity would make it very valuable in the underground circuit. A ration card would not even be looked at for purchase. Valuables would be. Gold, silver, shiny stones, deviant sexual behaviors would be the currency acceptable for a BANNED commodity. This scene reminds of the times of WWII combined with the Great Depression. Ration cards. Wanting entertainment not just the facts of what is going on. I remember my dad hearing folks fuss in the movies when they had the news reels about the war going âGet on with the movieâ. Hollywood took it to heart and began to spin the news reels to be hurrah and gungho. The only thing lacking here is âBuy Bonds. Support Endtown!â.
Just like some here in this world. Donât care what happens as long as it is fun to watch. All the reality showsâŠmost are garbage. But many watchâŠ.
âMaybe itâs been 2 weeks since the arrests? Thatâs actually getting to trial pretty quick.â1. The arrests. Followed by everyone going to the newspapers, and the interview with Wally.2. The newspaper breaks the story regarding the HC within a day or two of the arrests.3. After a week in confinement, the Milk 3 are told about the upcoming trial. Theyâre also told that it will be in a week.4. After a week, they have 24 hours to select a defender. Presumably the trial starts a couple of days after that.5. Rough count: 2 weeks plus change.Itâs quick only because thereâs no other cases on the docketâŠ
If there are only twenty movies between two theaters, maybe the next bean-gathering expedition could stop by some old theater somewhere and see if they could turn something else upâŠ
NO! Dora. NO NO!You canât stand it I just do it more.Yes I am creepy and down right scary.Ex Viet Nam vet trained in ways to do things to folks that is not very nice. Especially for âlittleâ girls like you to hear about. And if you think I am creepy?Look in the mirror. How did you ever swim so fast with a bosom that big? The water drag must have been terrible to over come. I too swam in high school and in YMCA tournaments. 50 meter, 100 meter, 200 meter all sprints. I even shaved my body to decrease resistance mainly my legs and arms. Not hairy chested but still got that off.And I like the Mayhem guy. We had a motto in my unit way before AC/DC did the song.âDirty Deeds done Dirt Cheap.âArmy paid 120 a month for me to toss grenades, shoot and kill all the folks I wanted to. As long as they were the âenemyâ.But sleep tight little one. I am the one wandering the roads at night making sure âREALâ bad guys donât hurt girls like you. When you run from danger I am passing you. Running towards it to throw myself at it to stop it. I am a good guy with a monster contained I rarely let out. You do not want to meet the monster. So donât ask me to stop. If you donât like it donât read it. Plain and simple but I know blondes donât get it (or do they?)Enough said.
Watch out fellow followers of Endtown.DORA and I may have a âthingâ going.Donât worry I will always be the gentleman.I think she likes me she thinks I am creepy.
âThere is a docket??I donât remember a grand jury, pre-trial, evidence hearings, habeas corpus motions, much less basic rights warnings, search warrants.âAll the lawyers got dusted in the big bang, or gravitated towards the Topsider side. Mallard figured he could skip all the legal mumbo-jumbo by trusting in the regular populaceâs ability to make good decisions in a crisis situation.

I think it means the trial itself has been going for two weeks. We have seen snippets. It must have been an ongoing hell for the women.
