Goat: Where were you, Pig? Pig: The Apple Store. Got some great stuff. Goat: No kidding... what'd you get? THe new iPhone? Macbook Pro? iPad Mini? Pig: I'm from a simpler age.
Mac products are so good (how good are they?) They’re so good our local department store has huge signs stating no returns or refunds on Mac products. Ever. Even if you haven’t opened the packaging—once it leaves the store, it’s yours forever. There must be a reason for that.
Ugh, the old Apple vs PC feud. Okay, I’ll jump in. I own and use both for various reasons. Have for years. My personal preference for ease of use and reduced pain-in-the-neck factor is Apple. It has it’s drawbacks, but my everyday go-to computer is the MacBook Pro, and it’s served me beautifully for years. The Windows laptop I use is a pain but does some things a little better than the Apple. And of course, Apple is really expensive, inflexible, and a royal pain to fix if anything goes wrong. In other words, they all stink, but what’re you going to do? We live in a computer world.
Red Delicious are so popular, I’ve tried to buck the trend. I like some others that are crisp and juicy. But really Red Delicious are consistently good.
Slice em and put peanut butter on the wedges. Best snack in the world. Salty, sweet, juicy and satisfying.
apple store…the stories from there are hilarious and disturbing. people bring their device, and the flood of selfies and porn is amazing. the american company who makes everything in china using slave labor, and sells those devices $$$$. and, every year, a newer version of that device rolls out that is the must item to have.
in my entire lifetime, i’ve seen 1 mac pc, ever (at a local college fair day on a navy base—at a table for a school i’d never heard of). i do use windows occasionally, but prefer fedora or opensuse linux (free, virus immune, stunningly fast).
This was pretty obvious from panel one and therefore not nearly as funny, however, I’ve yet to see an apple store. A fruit stand is the closest I’ve seen, but even they had other fruit.
Red Delicious are popular because they are an acceptable eating apple that can stand some abuse in transport and storage. Which makes them ideal for kids lunchboxes. However, there are far tastier apples on the market these days, most newer varieties than RD. I prefer Gala, but Fuji, Honeycrisp and a number of others are also popular eating apples.
Being a Mac user at home and at work since 1987, I have had only two defective computers. In both cases, Apple replaced the Macs with new units with no questions asked. We work our Macs hard – I work for a printing company – and we get years of usage out of our units by repurposing them. My old Mac SE (1987) was retired in 1999; my old 8100 tower (1994) retired in 2005); my old G3 tower (1999) still runs 24/7. I would still be using my G5 tower (2005) if Adobe Creative Suite didn’t require an Intel processor; I’m using a Mac Pro (2011) now. My point: Yes, Macs are more expensive than PCs, but you get more years of operation and value out of them.
Tell him. There was a time when the word apple was actually respectable. People looked forward to apples, red ones, green ones, golden ones, granny smiths, costards, you name it.

Pig went to the real apple store, not to the overcharging store for sheep.

Now, all we have to do is stick an apple in pig’s mouth, and invite some Hawaiians over…

Pig actually bought an Apple iPhone first, but nobody told him that he shouldn’t wash it.

Though the magic of modern technology I entered my comment once and it showed up twice. I have to figure out how to do that with bank deposits.

Stephan! You should have asked us for some apple names! Or were you expecting those obvious smartass answers?

I have six varieties in my orchard and none of them came from China.

Love it! I also am from a simpler age. When you ate apples and grass grew on the lawn!

I prefer the smaller Granny Smith apples. Hmm….. a name for a retro-design Apple line?

Guess that makes me old even though I’m 18.

Braeburns, from New Zealand, are very good eating apples. For pies, I prefer very tart Granny Smith.
