MM/Mysta appears to be content without her ‘powers’. That should take Tracy to the farm and save it from Hy Pressure and the boys!

Wonder what their real intent is? I know they were hot for a space coupe.

It is not really clear how long in the current version of the Tracyverse Clone-Moon Maid had been under the “care” of the bad doctors, nor how much time has passed since Moon Maid was blown up in the car bombing, though the latter must be counted in years. Nor is it clear how long Stellaluna and Retik have worked for the bad doctors, nor why, nor what their background really is. And yet I wonder, how could they not have realized sooner that the bad doctors Sail and Ghote were not altogether 100% pure? And is it just my impression, or is Clone-Moon Maid starting to look more like Honeymoon than she did before?

Wild guess—Mysta’s participation in the current storyline will end with her, Retik and Stellaluna allowed to take a Space Coupe to search for where the Moon People went—not to be seen again for years.

y’know.. MAYBE the shorter storyline limit may have been a good idea.. this is just dragging out for waaaay too long already!

we STILL need to straighten out the wheaton farm angle, the retik and stellaluna angle, the FRITZ ANN angle, the moon headed guy angle, the sail and ghote angle, and the whole moon maid lite mess.

my head hurts just trying to think about all the LOOSE ANGLES involved!

Last few days were Junior stumbling across his current wife, Sparkle. Calls Dick Tracy who, with Bob Oscar, shows a lot more emotion over the find than Junior did. Curious..Sisyphos and Willy007 do an interesting job of summarizing the two opposing positions regarding Mysta’s real identity. “Current version” and “Clone-Moon Maid” strongly indicate that Sisyphos is convinced that Mysta is a fake..And I know that there are many who agree..While Willy007 seems uncommitted in his current post, he has eloquently argued in the past in favor of Mysta’s being the “real deal.” Even today, he mentions that, having lost her moon home, her moon family, her earth family, for her to lose her moon powers, too? What else is there for her to be other than “eye candy”?.Indeed, early in this arc, that was a big discussion. That, in the current Team Tracy’s hands, Mysta has turned into one heck of a piece of “eye candy”! (Sorry, Gould fans, but Mysta didn’t look nearly as good in his day as she does today).Probably as good a time as any to restate my position, which is:.It makes no sense to bring Mysta back unless she is the “real deal.”.Granted, there is a decided lack of evidence, one way or the other, whether she is real or fake..But, as I have said before, what would be the point of having a fake Moon Maid running around in Tracyville? She would be just as shunned by the characters of the Tracyverse as she is by those who oppose her in this blog. Which is why, if she does turn out to be a fake, I have speculated in the past that, if she sticks around, she is headed toward becoming a Tracy criminal..Not that I want to see her as a criminal – not at all! But, what use would be her character if she is anything other than the “real deal”?.(And yes, I consider a clone to be a fake. Someone else argued that point quite well for me, noting that a clone is, indeed, a second body, regardless of where the DNA allegedly came from).Indeed, when it comes right down to it, this is the situation: Like it or not, there is a Mysta the Moon Maid character running around in Tracyville..For her to be an imposter would make her a criminal. For her to be a fake would make her pointless – as well as groom her for becoming a criminal..I’m still on record as hoping that Mike and Joe will finally reveal that she is, in fact, the “real deal.”.Paraphrasing Still Da Man! from yesterday, using the famous Mark Twain quote: “Reports of (Mysta’s) demise (were) greatly exaggerated!”

I’m enjoying the ongoing nature of the story. Yet I’m the exact opposite when It comes to comic BOOKS. I yearn for the good old “done In one Issue” stories of my youth.

Hoo-boy.Melies was distressed by Mysta’s disappearance as he held Sail and Ghote at gunpoint in the Apollo.And now Mysta has just returned, to visit Stellaluna and Retik.Without her powers, Mysta won’t be able to do anything to stop Melies when he starts shooting (maybe at Stella and Retik, who have outlived their usefulness?)!It looks like we’re going to learn of Mysta’s “origins” (as well as the motives and bad guy behind it all) real soon!

If Stellaluna and Retik don’t work for Dr. Sail anymore, I wonder why they are still at the Apollo?

This story is too darn good to end!

I don’t necessarily buy that explanation. Else why have Honeymoon’s powers also disappeared?

How do you leave Sail’s employ and live?

Maybe Mysta is a clone of Honeymoon, a grown up version! Moneymoons DNA was somehow taken,and a clone was made that somehow was given an excellerated growth rate.The DNA collected from Mysta’s hair follicles will be seen to be identical to Honeymoon’s!A little far fetched, but can be plasable!

To add to my ideas, the growth accelerant that aged Mysta, will continue with her aging very quickly(like Progeria syndrome in humans). An aged Mysta will somehow be killed saving Honeymoon, Jr, and Sparkle, ending the storyline.

I would like to know how many newspapers carried Dick Tract when it was at its peak and what year/years. Anybody know?

Hello again Tracy fans! Could anyone tell me if the following Tracy Villians are still “alive?” Pruneface, Itchy, The Brow, The Influence and Breathless Mahoney. I would love to see them back in action. I wish my favorite Tracy Villian of alltime, Flattop, was still alive!

It will be revealed that Retik is secretly Eddie Munster grown up and this is another celebrity guest appearance.

I am anxious to see the return of Peanut Butter. He was the smart aleck whiz kid that was introduced about five years after Honeymoon was born. The kids hit it off. Maybe they can pick up where they left off. Anyone out there can send us thumb nail sketch of him?

I just read an article about Chester Gould’s coming up with the B.O. Plenty name- it said that he was looking for a way to use the term “BO” in the strip, without offending his more sensitive readers. So “Bob Oscar” became sort of a double entendre. I recall that the full name was used during the Breathless Mahoney story.

Did it occur to you that all Moon people may have the same DNA?^^It has, to me, such a small colony, of people would almost surely be extremely inbred after 4 or 5 generations, maybe less
