Luann: "You ok, Tiffany? Why the sour look?" Tiffany: "I HATE this job! I'm gonna quit!" Luann: "You don't like teaching kids?" Tiffany: "Teaching? We're baby-sitting and snot-wiping! To you, these kids are "Amazing." To me, they're icky little-" Sergio: "Miss Farrell? I made a picture of you!" Luann: "Nice, Sergio!" Tiffany: "Nice? It's AMAZING!"

Tiffany is next up, on ‘As the Pathos Burns"…. – You’d almost exptect to hear her reaction as thus: “Wow, you like me nearly as much as I like me!”…. – But to also be fair, this may not be Tiffany’s cup of tea, as far as a line of work is concerned.. "But just as questions were asked about how far the arc with Gunther was going to go, one must wonder: “How did Tiffany end up here?”….And, “Is she only written in this job, so that ‘comic pies’ will be thrown at her?”… – It’s also nice to see that somebody appreciated her enough to draw a pic of her…but it’s kind of like giving her a mirror to pacify her, unbeknownst to the kid….sort of like Bob Ross’ “Happy Accidents”….

Also, that guy must be pretty Knotts to have an entourage like that!….

Perhaps we are in fact going through the entire roster of Luann’s classmates one at a time, showing that they are all in fact either thoroughly ridiculous, contemptible, or even reprehensible, so that when the high school “cocoon” finally ruptures and all the characters move on with their lives and thus out of the strip, we won’t miss them so much now.

Just watched the trailer on YouTube…hilarious! Who’da thought?

No matter how unappreciated we may be, someone will always love us.

I’m almost 100% sure that Greg is wrapping this strip up folks. I know I keep saying it but more and more it seems obvious to me. He has to find a ending of sorts for each one. This summer he will send them off to their individual futures. I’m wondering if he plans to have Tiffany finally realize she isn’t the center of the universe and then she’ll end up liking working with kids or ???
JayBluE almost 11 years ago
I said it yesterday, and I’ll say it, again…Unless Ted McGinley starts showing up in the strip, it will not be over… – Or unless Brad or Somebody jumps over a tank of sharks…

It was 1969 when Universal Pictures released “The Love God?” Don Knotts and Anne Francis were top-billed in the movie. The subject matter was (slightly) more “adult” than Knotts’ previous theatrical features.

Anybody hoping that “Luann: The College Years” will feature the reappearance of Aaron Hill?
Hey, wait, I just noticed: Luann with a box of puppets? Anyone for “Manger Babies”?
melmarsh9v almost 11 years ago
When Luann goes to the Community College, she presumably will still be in contact with Bernice, as well as Quill (obviously) and Gunther at Moony U. Other than that, expect to not see most of the others from Pitts High. That high school scene has been getting somewhat stale.

Aww! That’s cute, Sergio, and it has obviously touched Miss Farrell deeply (well, as deeply as a shallow miss can be touched). Maybe it will be of help to her and her insecurities….
melmarsh9v almost 11 years ago
I found “The Love God?” on YouTube— the full movie is there, but divided into 11 parts. I have not seen it for many years. I’ll have to watch it again sometime…

I thought Tiffany quit months ago.

Wait a minute. There were three couples at that dance. We’ve only followed two. Now where back to this?

Heeeeeeeey, Not BAD, Sergio! Not Bad at All.
LUV the “Botox” Lips, but what’s with the StarFish attached to Tiffo’s Hair???
bgby4884 almost 11 years ago
The fashion I have been seeing is lilypads stuck to the side of the heads of giant women! It doesn’t help.
andreas.fischer almost 11 years ago
what the … ? Is Sergio T.J.s brother or even – gulp – his son?
Donna White almost 11 years ago
I think Luann has already found her calling in life. She just doesn’t realize it yet. She’ll make a wonderful elementary or Kindergarten teacher.
Contessa Carrington almost 11 years ago
He is trying to show her what she would look like with Botox.
atomicdog almost 11 years ago
What I find interesting is, that’s the way he sees her. Perhaps Tiffany actually has inner beauty? Maybe she’s not too far gone.
genorino almost 11 years ago
Tif….NICE?!!, it’s amazing.Sergio.. It’l be more nice when you pose nude for me..
ChrisV almost 11 years ago
The blue star in her hair is a nice touch.
Guilty Bystander almost 11 years ago
Sergio looks like a miniature version of T.J.
David Huie Green LoveJoyAndPeace almost 11 years ago
Maybe it’s a little brother or cousin or simply someone whose ancestors come from the same part of the world as TJ.
ImaginaryGIrl almost 11 years ago
LOL. That changed Tiffany’s mind.
Meh~tdology, fka Pepelaputr almost 11 years ago
“Does T.J. got a love life we don’t know about ?”Where DOES he always disappear off to? A kinky get-together with Ann Eiffel?
keema70 almost 11 years ago
Jeez, I hope that they don’t bring back Aaron Hill! Luann could very well go into teaching little kids, but she has musical and acting talent and hope that she doesn’t drop it — maybe community theatre?
ACTIVIST1234 almost 11 years ago
“Sergio is an obvious nod to the renowned cartoonist Sergio Aragonés”*Howtheduck: Nice catch! I just looked up Sergio Argones (not knowing him), and you are absolutely right.*Guys, check him out on Wikipedia.*BTW, Sergio added a star to Miss Farrell’s hair— an obvious sign he has a crush on her.
GoUSA2014 almost 11 years ago
Wow. Sure switched gears on THAT quickly, Must be around the 6th of January in LuannVille…
ACTIVIST1234 almost 11 years ago
Note: Mr. Evans gracefully declined to embroider his name on the seat of Miss Farrell’s jeans!

And Happy Dr. King’s Day, everyone. Hope you’re making the day off a day ON for service. (Some of us don’t get the day off :( )

Brdshtt – Ooooo— LOL!
For the record, I’m “working” today, but can get little done as every other office is closed and voice mail boxes are full. Anyone else “working”?

You were saying, Tiffany?
melmarsh9v almost 11 years ago
It’s “comedy on the edge.” It has been about 45 years since I read a Mad magazine, and I had almost forgotten about those subtle little drawings!

brdshtt: Thank you ever so much for replying to my question about your roses…I am truly amazed! Oh, they must be Beautiful when they are in bloom! You probably have more roses than commercial rose gardens do! I had to smile when some people in the garden center wanted some of your own specialties! I just have a row of floribundas in my front yard, one climber, three tea roses also in the front yard and a miniature, another tea rose, and another climber in the side yard. I’ve run out of space! =-O You must have a lot of land! Oh, have you ever heard of a floribunda named French Lace? I lost one of the two I had and can’t find another one… And, oh, to make this comic-orientated, Tiffany can sure change her spots in a hurry! Show her a picture of herself and off she goes… ;)
