I am unfamiliar with the Hannah Montana show and I did not see the twerking event, but “Wrecking Ball” is an interesting and reasonably well-sung recording. A few more like that, and she could have a worthy career.

A couple of years ago, I wrote an article about the destructive nature of the Disney packaging machine, dating back to the original Mickey Mouse Club to the current Disney products. It was not a puff piece, nor terribly flattering to " The Mouse ".Needless to say, I am not very popular in the Wonderful World of Disney – for that I am grateful !

Marilyn Manson, Sinead O’Connor, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Elvis have all been accused of similar degradations of society – Miley is hardly the most shocking of the bunch. Personally, I understand why she’s famous . . she sings, she dances, she acts, and her father was famous – whether or not she’s talented is open for debate. The celebrities I don’t get are ones like Snooki and Paris Hilton. They do what exactly??

Another FAQ answer: No I don’t know why Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize.

Next question: when will the press ignore the Kardashians? Hopefully in my lifetime………..

Her Daddy, Billy Ray, had flash of fame with country song “Achy Breaky Heart” – Which led to her getting hired by Disney (had to have some leverage?) – Which later led to her desire to break from “good girl” Disney image – Which has led to her young adult train wreck of a life – AND eveyone loves to watch a good train wreck. . .

BIG hint: Watching television makes you stupid.

Hannah Montana was a fun show, and the twerking video is delightful sexy clowning. I prefer slutty chicks. I myself haven’t had television for nearly 8 years. I have a DVD player and the Internet which is enough for me. My favourite DVD programs include Buffy the Vampire Slayer and other scifi/fantasy serials.

I’ve never watched the Kardashian show, but I’ve seen still pics and they’re nice to look at. Same with Snooki. I used to live among beach people who looked alot like these celebs, and twerked in front of their own children at our community gatherings (where communal love was in the air), but were sensible, well adjusted people, in many cases had doctor or lawyer as day job. Google “Eeyore’s Birthday in Austin (Texas)” and “Oregon Country Fair.”

Unlike many “celebrities” who are famous for being famous and making sex tapes, Miley started on a highly popular TV show and can sing and act. (not saying how well, but she does and can.)
