Its about time we hear from Bernice and Delta! Sometimes young women don’t blossom in their high school years until they get into university…but, since it is no longer unusual for young women to attend their prom with no partners in sight, there is always the chance that there might also be young men there without partners, too…at least I’d like to think so. One never knows what will happen during one’s senior year… ;)

Many people simply don’t go to prom at all.

Such a one was I. I’d unfortunately had a bitter break up a month before, so I had little heart to go or find a new girlfriend in time.

The only problem with Bernice’s lament is there isn’t much time to “find” a boyfriend. Like “Clark Kent” noted, she needs to find a boyfriend in a laboratory setting where they will have common interests. I don’t know about Delta, I think she can hold her own in most situations where members of the opposite gender are concerned. I think she will meet her special man once she gets to Howard University on the East Coast… ;)

Pleasant surprise today— just last week, I was wishing to see Bernice featured more. Now the time has come for her to break free of her inhibitions and… do something!

Maybe Bernice can get a date with Ellen Page.

Bernice needs someone more mature than the guys in the high school crowd. Possibly, she might be attracted to a professor or some sort of philosopher. Maybe she could meet a man who is the curator of a private library. There are a lot of possibilities…

I want memories. I want my picture in the yearbook. I want a reason to bother going to the reunion.

Bernice just realized that high school is over and she wasted it trying to be a grown up.

Maybe not quite that color….but, BINGO!

YEah, I bet if she put that sexy outfit on along with some contact lenses and a different hairdo, she could be hotter than all of them—except Delta.

So, if by desirable, Bernice means whiny, snarky, self-important, sarcastic, and generally annoying, then yes. She fits that bill.

Deleta! You are supposed to be above that sort of thing— whether "that thing " is being snarky or “that thing” is dressing like a scamp!

Bernice seems confused about just what she wants, so Delta suggests a sexy outfit that could lead in one “romantic” direction—if that’s the way Bernie wants to go….

Even nerdy girls like Bernice do like fun things like the prom.But I see her in a modest dress. NOT the immodest one Delta is holding up.

The funny thing is, a lot of the posters who insist that Gunther the intellectual should stand strongly by his desire to go directly to college and become an engineer, and forget about a girl friend who isn’t completely supportive of that dream, are busy sneering at intellectual Bernice who is now starting to wonder if she missed out on an important part of life….

- The guy choices at Pitt are basically nothing.-First off, we don’t know all the Pitt guys; we only know the ones that Evans has emphasized so far.-And secondly, here’s a shock: even way back in the olden days when I was in high school, girls dated guys who went to other schools. And that was before everybody owned cars.

Frankly, I was hoping for a sharp comeback from Delta. I have a feeling she has no trouble attracting all the attention she wants (and then some).

-Why doesn’t she go to places that have people like her?-It’s been a long time for me since high school, but, from what I remember, there weren’t that many places where the serious students gathered. Chess club and debate club were about it, and if you weren’t that interested in either of those activities, you were on your own a lot.-I ended up on the staff of the newspaper, because I liked to write, so I was lucky there.
