I just thought of an interesting scenario. “The car plunges into the lake. Silver dies. Sprocket is rescued and lives. She tells the police that she tried to stop her brother from killing Mycroft. But he threatened her and hit her. Because she was scared for her life. She was forced to follow her brother’s orders.” I think this would get her off the hook for Mycroft’s murder. But, she’d still face charges for the film scams.

Nitrous is for a burst of speed.

Well, THIS should prove entertaining….time to find out what kind of crazed maniac driver Sprocket really is….judging from Tracy’s hologram map that lake was pretty wide to be trying to jump even with a nitrous oxide boost.

She’s going to ram the tree line. Even that tank of a car probably can’t knock over trees, but she’s going to try.

For those unfamiliar with how nitrous oxide is used in internal combustion engines, here are a couple of quotes from Wikipedia:

In vehicle racing, nitrous oxide (often referred to as just “nitrous”) allows the engine to burn more fuel by providing more oxygen than air alone, resulting in a more powerful combustion. The gas itself is not flammable at a low pressure/temperature, but it delivers more oxygen than atmospheric air by breaking down at elevated temperatures.One of the major problems of using nitrous oxide in a reciprocating engine is that it can produce enough power to damage or destroy the engine. This should prove interesting, a hyena in the back seat, a car hurtling towards almost certain catastrophe and nitrous oxide. Providing anyone survives, they should be laughing all the way to jail

The Mythbusters successfully skipped a car twice across a 98-foot “lake” using nitrous “go” button. It can be done. It would help if there was a nice gap in that tree line though.

Now this is a fun chase! Sprocket is angry, determined, and confident in her driving skills. Silver is terrified and coming unhinged. Lena is quiet at the moment, but if she gets a whiff of the nitrous, will she become a laughing hyena? Will the nitrous boost somehow get the car around or through the tree-line, and across the lake? What a gas!

Hmmmm….. Wikipedia says it is a greenhouse gas. Expect a visit from the PC Police as soon as he wakes up.

Yeah, yer right! I was just thinking of someone accusing Team Tracy of polluting young folks’ minds with the mention of a greenhouse gas.

Congratulations to Joe, Mike and the rest of team Tracy on their 3 year anniversary. Thank you for all the thrills, spills and especially for restoring our beloved Dick Tracy to its rightful place in comic’s lore. Were it not for your efforts it is possible the strip would not even exist today. Let us also take a moment to thank Dick Locher for his many decades of involvement and efforts towards the strip.

Side Note: Liquefied nitrous oxide is used as an oxidizer for some hybrid rocket engines.

Sprocket knows Silver has driven their whole plan off a cliff, and now she’s ready to take it into a lake!Will they make it across? Does Sprocket want to?This is great storytelling!

I’m not sure if Sprocket is “Pushing The Button” to try and escape or to kill themselves. Hopefully they don’t fall into the mystery snow! LOL!

If Sprocket survives what appears to be a dip in the lake, she will have to be charged with being an accessory to not one, but perhaps several murders. That nasty hyena, Lena, didn’t just chow down on just one corpse. Remember Silver said the beast was a valuable member of the team a while back. So Bro. Nitrate is probably a serial killer, as well as a scam artist.

Alas, poor Silver. We knew him.

Maybe they turn out to be “Evil” Knievels!!
