Didn’t expect the limo itself to be part of the problem! I forgot they were having dinner, too. Things are going from bad to worse… ;)

Did they have dinner reservations before the dance? Is Gunther calling the restaurant to cancel? It’s time to raid the mini-bar in the back seat of the limo. Small candy bars cost only $10 each, so chow down!

And we still don’t know anything about the accident up ahead that caused the traffic jam, so the welfare of Delta and Bernice remains an open question…

LOL!!! I was wondering what was going on with your roses! I’ve managed to fertilize mine and spray them for Black Spot and other diseases, bugs, etc. (I don’t have much luck with Lady Bugs and such). So far, my French Lace Floribunda is putting on enough leaves that I think I actually might let it keep its buds on (last year I wouldn’t let it bloom at all in an effort to encourage leaf growth). Anyway, I can hardly wait until they begin blooming! The first bloom always seems to be the best! ;) And now my Iris are coming up really well…my daffodils and tulips have put on a good show this year! ;)

Yes, I am not really enamored of it…like the color, but not the style. I thought she would have a dress that is more elegant… ;)

I dk, not into gaming. Rosa’s dress just looks like a disney princess theme gone wrong. Maybe her unique dress would look better in real life? Most dresses look great as long as they fit correctly.

I am just growing canna lilies for the first time this year…I have found a place for them in a border area. I’m already dreaming of next year’s Spring bulbs…Breck’s has a tulip variety that looksjust like an ice-cream cone! Last Fall I was in a double-blooming Iris mood, especially for ones with spectacular colors, and so am now waiting to see which color Iris is blooming where (I want to be surprised, so I didn’t write down what each color was, although I did arrange them in compatible groupings). I just Love Spring! ;)

So now they’ll phone Elwood Druitt, who will airlift them to Pitts High in his private helicopter. Hilarious hijinks will, unfortunately, not ensue as he and the Q compete for Ms Inner Beauty’s affections.

Not that it matter’s, but did anyone besides me notice that the car behind the limo morphed from black to blue?

Luann is right; it could still get worse.Just imagine how much worse it would have been for you all in the pre-cellphone days….The girls still look great, and Gunther with his phone may be working on an extraction plan, even if not “his private helicopter,” to save the day (or evening and night).

Once again, this gang of comic strip characters cannot get some measure of happiness without drama. Umm, what were they doing on the HIGHWAY anyway? Is it really that long a trip between their homes and the school? Soon this strip will start looking like Funky Winkerbean when the cast starts dying off from cancer and car accidents.

*Kids, you don’t realize it, but THIS is the kind of thing that makes events memorable. Forget the glamour, the fine meal, the gorgeous gowns— it’s the problem that gets us emotinally engaged.*BTW, it looks like they’re the only limo in the traffic snarl. Other kids must have other rides.

Good thing they have a cool-headed grown-up at chauffeur.

The skirt lengths & shapes of the dresses keep changing! Either the dresses are bewitched, or they having an amazing tailor. Look at Lu’s dress on Apr. 14.

If they’re delayed long enough, they might survive the brutal carnage of the prom.

Where is this prom being held? In the next county?

This is a nuisance but not a real problem.

Traffic is backed up in BOTH directions? That hardly makes sense.

Well, its not the Atlanta ice strom! So what gives? I thought Pits was a small town. Why are they in the country on a four lane divided highway? Why is traffic stopped in both directions? WHY???

Looks like Gunth is checking something on his phone. Maybe he’s figured a way out?

I like the idea of Gunth having his chopper come get them… But I’d bet they’d not be allowed to leave the scene until they were interviewed by local PD investigating the accident (material witnesses). Plus, I don’t see where the chopper could land without them having to take a hike to get to it (and, perhaps very dangerously, having to cross the other side of the highway).

They take the highway to get to school? How big is their town?

“Highways are usually fast. But just take one or more lanes and it backs up for miles whether a chemical spill or road work etc.”^You’d think that, huh? “Ashburton” and I live in the same general area (but in different states), and both of us can tell you allllll about Interstate 95, I-83 and quite a few others. Once you get into the “city” portions of an area, you are under the “mercy” of the current weather/traffic situation, or any construction… the buildup and standstill turns into “bottlenecking”, and it occurs often and routinely, in some areas of the highway, and especially on certain days…

Until many there realize it’s mostly “celery sticks” and “cucumber sandwiches”……who wants a cucumber sandwich when you’re stuck for a couple of hours? Now if a Pit BBQ truck was there, people would probably be “glad” to stop for a few hours and have a little “shindig”, Lol!

Yeah, it seems so! – It’s funny where I live, because every time they say: “Here’s the traffic report”, I almost tune it out, because it’s so frequent throughout the day…

Lol! That would be a night that Lu will never forget! -Wonder too, though- we saw the shakiness Quill had when TJ handed him the apron and ran… he was greener than the avocado dip! Maybe now, though, he’s got some prepping experience under his belt… -But if he makes one more sandwich with Vegemite on it, and it was stopped along the highway, do you think then that the van would then qualify as a “fried out Kombi”?

Maybe it is time for Luanne to call in all those babysitting favours and call in the fire brigade. Now that would be arriving in style

Has anyone noticed that Rosa’s dress matches Quill’s cummerbun and Luann’s dress matches Gunther’s tie? I don’t think that bode’s too well…

Again, they aren’t going to Pitt HS (yet). They are going to have dinner in a restaurant first, and then they’re going to the dance after that. Sure, they could have gone to Weenie World or Burger Box without getting on the freeway, but they might have intended to go to some place fancier downtown instead.

Nobody walks in LA…….. or Pittsville. ^Missing Persons, 1985…..
