So, maybe “Sheriff” wasn’t throwing out a red herring… there’ll be a long red “limo” with a “whoooo-whoooooooh” and “HONNNNK!” with lights, and with a hook and ladder aboard…. – Oh, that cumberbund! What can’t it do? Now it’s a knee brace…

Somehow I knew they were never going to be on that bus… However, its nice to see that Luann’s general overall attitude has changed to be more accepting of the predicament that the kids find themselves in… Now that we don’t have to deal with Luann’s snarkyiness, the story can proceed with the four of them pulling together to figure out how to go from Point A (where they are) to Points B & C (the restaurant and the prom). I think this storyline is getting better IMO… ;)

Get on your phone and call a taxi, Gunther. And no dancing at the dance for you, Quill. Now can we learn whether Delta and Bernice were in the accident that has traffic tied up? That’s a situation that would dwarf these minor misfortunes.

Bernice and Delta will be driving by from feeding their family in need and will see the group on the street corner. Everyone will pile into Bernice’s car and arrive ensemble at the prom. Quill and Luann will be voted King and Queen, MUCH to Tiffany’s chagrin but Quill will give the crown to Gunther since he REALLY saved the evening and everyone will have a great end to the night.

Why don’t they just call one of the parents like Luann’s? It is no great shame in getting help from a parent to go from one place to another. As well as that limo company should have arranged to pick up the kids after the first one got hit.

    To recap:

If they can’t wait for the next bus (if there is one), they can call:

    Lu’s parents,Mrs. Berger,Rosa’s parents,Brad or ToniTJa taxi.

    OR

Bernice and Delta will cruise by and pick them up.

    So many options!

Yesterday was my late day at work so ran errands for a client beforehand— which involved crossing an unpaved section. It was 120 paces, and I now walk about 2 1/2 feet per pace. I was one block, and took me, on the grass, 8 minutes. (But not in heels.)

-I don’t know Mr. Evans as well as many of the posters here (or as well as they think they know him). But, considering the way he showed Luann trying to scale a fence in a long dress while the guy she thought cared for her was trying to take pics, my understanding of Evan’s humor may differ from yours. To me, it would be perfectly logical to conclude that the group would spend the evening in the emergency room and never get near the prom.

-Actually, if they did make it to the prom, it might turn into a tragedy because of the condition of their clothes. Just recently, a girl named Shafer Rupard was turned away from her prom in Cherryville, North Carolina, because she showed up in a red jeans outfit that matched something Justin Bieber had worn to an awards show. -The clothes were in great shape, unlike the dresses and suits that Luann and company are now wearing. And as it turned out, the school’s conduct code (they have one in a big book) said nothing about what kind of ‘formal wear’ had to worn to the prom.-So I’m thinking that if the foursome show up in tattered clothes, Ox will have to turn them away. Better that Luann, Gunther and Rosa should spend the evening cheering up Quill as he waits to see if he needs knee surgery….

Find it odd that the phone could be used to find out when the next bus was arriving but can’t be used to call for help as obviously the bus stop isn’t located in the same area as the traffic jam and can be accessed easily – the bus got there on time.
