I haven’t been following the comments so I’m unaware of Aaron’s ailment. But I certainly wish him well and hope for a speedy recovery. This seems a good time for me to re-read the Endtown books. :3
The countdown begins! Seriously, Aaron, please take your time and get well. We will find a way to amuse ourselves in your (already too long) absence. We seem to have a pretty creative bunch here so it should be interesting.
Oh boy, and just when I’m getting used to this web comic again, this happens. All I can say is get well, Aaron. I know I had my differences with you and the posters about this comic’s “Mature Subject Matter”, but that’s nothing compared to the physical subject matter of you being sick. So until this strip resumes (hopefully) in June. What it will be? “Endtown Flashbacks”? More “Ed Deadeyes”? Or me going at it with these posters? (just kidding, posters). Well until you’re ready to go again in 30 days, I say, Stay Well, Stay Safe.
Reminds me of community television in the early eighties, where one could get certified to run cameras, switchers, audio equipment, just like in the first “Wayne’s World” movie. Now I’m getting paid for that sort of work, whereas, I did it for the experience before.
By now it’s starting to seem like a broken record, but you know you have my best wishes for a speedy recovery…..speedy recovery…..speedy recovery…..speedy recovery…….
Last night after visiting the clinic and being released with diagnosis of cellulitis in the other leg Aaron and I had to go to the the emergency room as it had spread like wildfire. We are now waiting for his hospital room to be ready he is being held until the infection is at bay for at least day maybe two.I have taken of work to be here with him today at least so he is at least not alone. Soon we will have room for him although o he can rest.If you need to get in touch for good wishes a donation anything please feel free to contact me at my e-mail blackieflask@hotmail.com as Aaron is to sedated to check his emails.i don’t read his e-mails And although I’m his girlfriend and live with him I feel uncomfortable invading his privacy by doing so.Thank you all so much for all our help it’s both needed and appreciated in this hard time.
Aaron’s progress report:Aaron attended a local clinic and was diagnosed with a severe leg infection. He was commenced on antibiotics, but a day later the infection was not being brought under control, so he has now gone to the hospital emergency room. Please wish him well.
Allright, Aaron’s being kept in hospital still he began to have reaction to the latest antibiotic so they are switching it out and we will see what happens from there.
Attraverso Cristo nostro Signore.Get Well Soon, Aaron
————————————————Just as a little heads up, Jenner and I are planning to run some stuff here to try to keep everyone entertained while Aaron is recouping. The Donate buttons are powered by Paypal, and are quite safe, and will except debit or credit cards, or Paypal Account transfers. I guess. I have used a debit card without any problems, except not having more funds to contribute more. If however, you wish to send a money order or check or whatever, contact Selina Eubanks at:
blackieflask@hotmail.com And she can give you a PO BOX address to send money to help out, as Aaron may well be on IV Antibiotics in the hospital for a month or so. Extreme doses of IV Antibiotics make the patient sick and miserable. Aaron’s and Selina’s expenses continue, no matter if Aaron is at home or in the hospital, and Selina sometimes has to miss work, and getting paid, to take care of Aaron and their necessaries. Please send money, do not send kittens. =^.^=
By the way, a couple of websites are available that Aaron may want. I went to the dot org website looking for old works, and it seems to be available, as is the dot com website that had some squatters on it. If you want to sponsor those websites FOR AARON contact Selina to find Aaron’s wishes. He may just wish to move everything to Endtown Underground when he is healthier. I don’t know the status of old works including Electromatic Radio, perhaps he has the saved elsewhere. JusAThought
BIG BLACK CAT by Jenner (To the ‘spoken tune’ of any cowboy song or similar ballad. viz. Big Bad John)From December 09, 2011
She walked into town with a big, big gun,An’ I’m tellin’ you now, it weren’t set on stun. She got dues to pay, walls to bust.Don’t stand in her way or you’ll end up dust.
Her eyes were blank, her tongue was mute,Just a bad-ass hunk in a biosuit. So nobody guessed, ‘til it’s too late, thatThey been laid to rest by a big, black cat.
Cat…Big Cat…Big Cat…Big Black Cat!
She went by the name of Captain Flask,‘Cept those who came never got to ask.’Course nobody chose to bother, ’cusAll they needed to know’s she’s one sour puss.
See, the captain said that they’d took her man -Done opened his head like a big tin can,Split him ear-to-ear, then they stole his brain.Took her over a year to find it again.
Cat…Big Cat…Big Cat…Big Black Cat!
She walked right through them streets of doom. There was nothin’ to do when she entered a room.Just Blam Blam Blam and three dead mutts. No “Pardon, Ma’m”, no ifs, no buts.
Left a small black box and a heap o’ trouble. So, it’s: “Okay, folks, gonna blow this bubble.C’mon, open wide, while I head for the hills.Got ma man outside, and he’s my wheels.”
Still here in the hospital doing antibiotics and benadryl to keep the allergy from getting of hand. Big thanks to Aarons wonderful Dad and Mom was able to go home. And and tend out cats and was given a good supply of food and littler for them as well so that’s a relief. He’s blessed with good parents as well as good readers thank you everybody for all you do for us.
Yes, we really wish Aaron well. And I thank you and each and every one of the wonderful human beings who have helped Aaron in any large or small way in his times of trouble in these past years. It has been a long journey.
Still here at the hospital they are now running him on courses of more drugs and antibiotics because there is a fear now from the staff that this could actually be MRSA so we are now waiting out this round of treatment to see what will happen.By the way I was asked a few times as to and adress this is our it is Aaron Neathery P.O Box 924554 Houston Texas 77292 we do so because our apartment is not very good with getting the mail to the right place. So if you would like to donate send a get well card a letter or some such there it is.
UPDATE: As of this time Aaron is doing much better he’s had the doctors come back by and they seem satisfied that this is chronic cellulitis how on earth it got in the opposite leg no one knows, but the leg has made great improvement today so it looks like we will be getting out of here sooner than later.Thank You All
MUTTS ON THE ROCKET by Level HeadTo the tune of “Cat’s in the Cradle”
My gal and I’ve found the M-G-CArriving on an airscout from the new P-TBut there are mutt attacks and kills todayWe’re learning fast we might not leave that way
They were climbing up the rocketAnd as they’d reach the door I’d say“You’re gonna be one more goneI hate to have to kill one more”
And the mutts on the rocketAnd the airscout tooLittle by littleMore coming in viewWhen we going home, Holly?Don’t know whenWill we have an airscout then, gal?We might not have a way out then
Well my Holly opened the M-G-CShe’s putting in the card that she got from meCould we close it and go? We’ve got to get awayWe getting overwhelmed, all we can do is pray
And as I shot anotherI’m grinning in fear and saidI don’t wanna die right here, galWe both aren’t gonna die right here
And the mutts on the rocketAnd the airscout tooLittle by littleMore coming in viewWhen we going home, Holly?Don’t know whenWill we have an airscout then, gal?We might not have a way out then
I’m glad to hear that Aaron’s doing better. Every time I hear of him going to the hospital I find myself thinking, “oh no! Not again!” I find myself wishing that Aaron had an easier life. Oh well, he has Selina who is supportive of his work and is there with him at hard times. I’m happy about that.
So they are to keep Aaron to observe and we should be going home tomorrow if everything goes our way. Here’s hoping thanks everybody you have been huge helps.
I have had cellulitus. It can be a very painful thing.I wish Aaron the best.Glad to hear that he may be getting out of the hospital today.Fingers crossed.Wishing you both strength and fast healing.
I DON’T LIKE FRIDAYS, by Jenner (To the tune of "I Don’t Like Mondays, by the Endtown Boomtown Rats) From December 02, 2011
The silicon chip inside the ship is switched before it goes. And nobody’s gonna go to space today, just to peek on the Down-Belows.But Wally wasn’t undetected, and now a mutt on the gantry knows. And we can see no s’lution, ‘cause there are no s’lutions to get out’ therebefore it blows…
Tell me why! I don’t like Fridays!Tell me why! I don’t like Fridays!Tell me why! I don’t like Fridays!I wanna stay (oo,oo, oo, oo-ooh) in old Endtown.
The hominid gene is kept so clean in a type that is mutie-free.But now Linda lies fully paralyzed. Cap’n Flask’s doing things to her body with glee.Open the suit and watch her mute. Now she ain’t so cute as a substitute. And we can see no s’lution, ‘cause there are no s’lutions. No solution but to wait and see, see, see…

Hello, all.. I was released from the hospital this evening and have been trying to find my head ever since. My doctors have me on some new kind of synthetic antibiotic and I’m supposed to report back next week for a once-over as I’m not fully out of the woods yet. Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes and donations. I’m very lucky to have so many wonderful readers. Thanks also to the Floridian who wishes to remain anonymous. You know who you are and I won’t ever forget. I’ll do my best to get this story back under way in as sane and healthy a fashion as soon as possible. Please take care!
Aaron,Glad to see you back. Hope your recovery is quick and complete and that you are healthy and happy. Don’t worry about “sane” I tried sanity once and found it overrated.Don’t worry about returning to work. While I’m looking forward to see what Goggles says to Sarah, I’ve been reading web comics enough to be used to delays. “Far Out” hasn’t updated since April 23 and one of the characters was in mid setence when it happened. Se la vie.
Seems like I’ve know of Phil Foglio and his work for an eternity—-well, since the seventies, I suppose—-but somehow never thought to see if he was doing anything lately. Must check this out.
Aaron I am so glad to hear you are back home and on the mend. I’ve been afraid to even look here for the past week. You have a really good friend in Selena. Get well but don’t work until you are fully ready. We’ll be here so no worries.
Okay, you can send them a Czech. I didn’t know The Old Wolf was of Czech ancestry. I was just looking up gocomics coding instructions, and found The Old Wolf’s Banquet From Hell , where he mentions he has
Czech heritage. Yes, I am just continuing. I am not recoding all that. The Old Wolf seems a quite decent sort, both on GoComics and at Doc Rat and various places accessible through the CrossTimeCafe which has a link back to Endtown here at GoComics.

And as I shot anotherI’m grinning in fear and saidI don’t wanna die right here, galWe both aren’t gonna die right here
And the mutts on the rocketAnd the airscout tooLittle by littleMore coming in viewWhen we going home, Holly?Don’t know whenWill we have an airscout then, gal?We might not have a way out then
(to be continued…)

I’m glad to hear that Aaron’s doing better. Every time I hear of him going to the hospital I find myself thinking, “oh no! Not again!” I find myself wishing that Aaron had an easier life. Oh well, he has Selina who is supportive of his work and is there with him at hard times. I’m happy about that.

GIVE A LITTLE MISSILE (to the tune of “Give a Little Whistle”, from Pinocchio)Posted December 27, 2011
When someone is mean to you and won’t leave you alone,Give a little missile.Give a little missile.
When there are too many to get rid of on your own,Give a little missile.Give a little missile.
Not just a little pop,Fire it up and blow. And just before it hits, yell: “Enemy rocket!”
Take the most direct approach and then enjoy the ride.Give a little missile.Give a little missile. And always let blind hatred be your guide.

No solution but to wait and see, see, see…
Tell me why! I don’t like Fridays!Tell me why! I don’t like Fridays!Tell me why! I don’t like Fridays!I wanna stay (oo,oo, oo, oo-ooh) in old Endtown.
The Underground dwellers and the topside fellas go to war on a dusty plain. And now Flask and Wally, Petey, Linda and Holly are all up at the end of a week, once again. And Wally doesn’t understand it. And the wait’s driving us insane. And he can see no s’lution. WE can see no s’lution, As they come again for his brain…

I was just looking up gocomics coding instructions, and found The Old Wolf’s Banquet From Hell , where he mentions he has
JusSayin over 10 years ago
Czech heritage. Yes, I am just continuing. I am not recoding all that. The Old Wolf seems a quite decent sort, both on GoComics and at Doc Rat and various places accessible through the CrossTimeCafe which has a link back to Endtown here at GoComics.
