Nuuu, I have just discovered this strip a few days ago! Well, I’ll read it from the beginning, in a way or another; daily, if GoC will be so nice to start it all over again, by “going back in time”, if not. :-). And we love you too, of course. :-)
I should have seen it coming when Grandma gave Claire advice, and Paul and Claire said they had everything they wanted….
even Gianni was suddenly in love yesterday.
But it’s been 8 years and I’d forgotten.
…
As Dyonia said above… the strip ended in June of 2014… I just checked before I saw her(?) comment, and yes, it’s right there in the archives.
Carla Ventresca and Henry Beckett both posted that day, and said the strip would be on a different (AFAIK now defunct) website, with reruns and maybe eventually new ones.
But GoComics started reruns four days later.
….
It did seem shorter this time…. but both runs were eight years, so probably the same.
It may take a few days, but I’m guessing it’ll start over again.
This is what I found online: Carla Ventresca is a cartoonist and illustrator, originally from Philadelphia, who mainly works in collaboration with her husband Henry Beckett. She is a graduate of Syracuse University where she majored in Communications. In October 2005 she filled in the spot of the collaborative comic feature ‘Six Chix’ after Ann Telnaes left. Ventresca did the Thursday strips and some Sundays, while the other days were handled by Isabella Bannerman, Margaret Shulock, Rina Piccolo, Kathryn LeMieux and Stephanie Piro. She left the team in July 2007, when she became one of the new cartoonists for Parade Magazine. She has also taught at two colleges and is a published author.
Ventresca and Beckett produce visual and audio content for advertising agencies, TV, films, video games, books, magazines, newspapers, websites, and new media like smart phones and tablets. They have created greeting cards for American Greetings, as well as the internationally syndicated comic strip ‘On A Claire Day’ from 2006. The strip ended its print and online run in June 2014 to continue on the mobile device Commika.
I was so disappointed the first time this strip reached its end, but I kept reading it and discovered that each time through they ran parts that hadn’t been run before – so keep watching!
One of the best end of series arcs ever! Thank you Carla and Henry for one of the happiest, most satisfying story ever told over the many years of your Strip… God Bless All of You…and Here’s to starting it all over again!…… k
oh dear, this never happened before. I’ve been through the strip 3 or 4 times and they always just started over the next day. This may REALLY be the end. Too bad, I’d have gone again.
Hi everyone! First, I just wanted to send massive heartfelt thanks for being interested in the story of Claire and Paul and Bradley. We were very sad to stop developing the strip and remain sad about it to this day. The reason we did is that as the newspaper industry went away, so did our revenue. So we were forced to move on to pursue different paths so we could keep eating! (CarlaMillerArt.com, for example)
However, we’re thinking about putting together a book of all the strips (or as many as we can get into a reasonably-sized and attractive book (there are a LOT of strips lol). If that sounds interesting to you, send an email to book@onaclaireday.com, and once we have it together we’ll let you know.

As nboady said, the very first strip of the comic is a Father’s Day strip. So today, Sunday 19 June, would have been perfect to restart. C’mon GoComics!

The very first strip of the comic is a Father’s Day strip. If another rerun is going to start, it’s likely that it will start this upcoming Sunday.

It’s a great strip even on reruns. I hope Karla and Henry know we love them too and have found wonderful ways To continue their life journey.

One more small drama: will they or won’t they? I expect tomorrow to tell the tale. Hope to see you then! (but sorta don’t really expect to)
