The topography of this dorm room keeps changing (maybe it’s so big because it’s the inside of a Tardis); but that table was on the other side of he room yesterday, and where Tiffany is leaning was a door.

Bern, seriously you need to just let it happen. Like the party itself things are better when you just go with the flow.

Dorm rooms weren’t this big 40 years ago when I was at university. These days, my niece’s room is 100 sq ft and houses 4. No typos. 10 feet x 10 feet, 4 young women. And her tuition is close to $50K/year. We aren’t talking cheap college.

Maybe this will evolve into something that makes sense, but why on earth is Tiffany suddenly thinking about expending effort? She’d be looking for ways to hijack others’ efforts to put herself in the spotlight…

I said it a few days ago, and I still suspect that if the mysterious Dez does not put in an appearance tout suite Bernice and Tiffany will be thrown together as roommates by the university’s housing office. Neither Bernice’s grumpiness nor Tiffany’s child-like party concept augur well, however, if either or both aim for a “party girl” reputation….

Poor Tiff. She’ll wind up flunking out even though she’s going for a fashion degree.

Well, perhaps, if the acting thing doesn’t work out, Tiff might have an alternate career as a party planner. She seems to have a passion for it. Maybe she can make a business out of it.

Which brings up a weird thought… Anyone get the sneaking feeling that Tiff might be brought in to participate (in whole or part) in Brad/Toni’s wedding, from the planning perspective? That is if TJ isn’t involved?

This was cute and funny! The one thing I especially liked was the way Greg has drawn Tiffany in panel 3…. it is not the typical way he draws Tiffany, and yet it is very cute and actually sweet. It shows Tiffany with a genuine sense of happiness. It is probably my favorite image of Tiffany of any I have seen over the years. It gives her more of a real quality. Bravo!

I have the feeling the wedding might not happen. Everything since the proposal has been foreshadowing that. A lot of bottled up problems to deal with

There might be issues going on (even GE said to “expect some drama and trauma”), but the wedding will happen. I see no evidence that anyone is leaning against the wedding. They might be grumbling about how it happens, but no one is saying it shouldn’t….

I’m surprised Tiff even knows what those taste like. She’s just the vapid, body-image-obsessed type to eat cotton balls to suppress the appetite.

No one has commented on this yet, so I will. Bernice’s response to TIff’s comment in the last panel was to say she was ‘busy that night’. Of course, Tiff had not specified a particular night for the next party, so the message Bern was trying to get across was basically ’I’m not hosting a party. You want one with munchies and decorations? You throw it…’

I can see it now. Tiffany will plan a party with all the frills she is talking about, and it will bomb.

Tiffany is enumerating the kind of party SHE would like to have; a celebratory one in which she is the center of attention. A birthday party she never had, perhaps?Is she nostalgic for something she did/did not have as a child?

And how long do you think it’ll be before Tiffany turns around and reports the situation to administration, thereby getting everyone involved into trouble?

Ohmigosh, Tiff is Adorable when she giggles like that! Wow….! Oh, uhm… and it’s nice to see Bernice taking a mature attitude. She’s right, everyone had fun, that’s what matters.

I would think that for a serious student, having the partyers discouraged because of no snacks is a good thing. No more interruptions.

Berneice is back to her intelligent snarky self.

Something tells me that this crew is going to be back often to party. If Bernice decides she’s going to be one of them, she may as well get a catalog for whatever two-year college is nearest Pittsville because she’s going to flunk out of Moony U by the end of the year.

“I would say Tiffany’s idea of a party is so high school, but it’s really more like a party for little kids.”*HtD – sounds to me more like an office party or a work meet & greet. Come to think of it, they’re both a lot like little-kid parties!

They’ll be back…They’ll keep taking advantage of Bernice because they see it as Dez’s place, not Bernice’s. Bernice has to go to the Administration and find out about Dez, or things will get worse for her.

Maybe Dez will show up for Halloween….

Greg needs to put Tiffany in a sorority house where they DO host organized parties and serve food. Dorm parties are always spontaneous which lends itself to the fun of spontaneity. Tiffany’s idea would just ruin that. Make Tiffany a pledge STAT! Before she makes the residents on the dorm floor miserable.

Everyone DID go out to the “real parties.”, they just used Dez ’s place as a meet up point before heading out for the evening.

“I doubt Evans wants to deal with the adult themes of them.”*RB – you’re right, but only if you limit adult parties to parties based on sex. I’ve been to a lot of “real” parties that did not directly involve either sex, drugs, or videotapes. Call me mild, but a heated discussion of political events, interlaced with humor and rum & coke is another idea of an adult party.

Why has this storyline become bogged down with weenies and munchies, and some character named Dez? Maybe its because Bernice’s choice of career fields sounds like real dull.

No invitations, they just showed up. No party favors, this is college. Not a lot of munchies, probably more of a BYO. No weenies in BBQ sauce, because this is a freshman dorm room, not an apartment. I suspect that Tiffany’s style will not go over as well in college as Bernice’s.

Think about it, she doesn’t do anything that doesn’t involve the other characters, She was all by herself in her room, not even on the phone to her BFF Crystal (who is AWOL in any long-term story arc). And never really seemed to have any home life.I think all of this together is why she’s always seeking attention.

Could we please FINALLY let Tiffany have a boyfriend? I’m not surprised she wants to plan a party; she helped arrange the prom—at which she had NO date! She just needs to offer something better than that so-called food….and finally have a boyfriend!

Maybe that is Tiffany’s major? Party planning?

Dez might turn out to be Phelps…

In an “undergraduate dorm?” That would imply her taking an undergraduate program… Wouldn’t Phelps already have to have a Bachelor’s Degree to be a licensed guidance counselor?

My thoughts exactly! Games? Munchies? Party favors? Decorations? Parties sure have changes since I went to college, not that I ever went to any.

I suspected they were running in circles not straight ahead. That same chair etc gave that away.

That, or driving in the car past the same scenery for minutes at a time…
