I knew Sam was asking for it when he was joking around with Gruesome! Just like at the aquarium when he ended up in a diver’s suit in the fish tank!

Good Morning Fellow Tracy fansm. Oh No! What did Gruesome do to Sam? Gruesome’s one tough dude! Sam drew his gun on him but somehow got overpowered and is probably bound and gaged in a broom closet right now. You know the writers didn’t let Gruesome kill him. You should have got outta there while you had the chance Gruesome. Sam warned you that Dick Tracy was in the audience. This sets up a confrontation between Tracy and Grue and I think we all know who’s going to win unless the writers allow Grue to escape.

What did I do to deserve the extension on my official name, Gweedo?

Well, Sam might have agreed to let “Chris” finish the play, but since he’s straightening his tie as he returns, it does certainly seem that Gruesome has been in some kind of a struggle. We know that Sam hasn’t been shot, otherwise everyone would have heard it.

One good outcome from all this so far is that it looks like the play is going to be able to finish after all. If Sam is incapacitated, I wonder what Lizz is up to.

Sam lets him finish the last performance and will wait in the wings as gruesome escapes after the show

Yup. Sam is (temporarily) done in by his lousy procedure! Now it’s up to the Tracys and Lizz to corral Gruesome before he can seize and harm hostages and escape!

I knew that they wouldn’t let the play be aborted. Now I’m just waiting to see who’ll play the cops in the climax. :)

Gruesome has clearly been bitten by the acting bug. Is it possible that he has in fact said: “Please let me finish this, and I’ll follow voluntarily”?

The stage director seems shaken up that Gruesome is back. Why would he be nervous???

I wonder, could it be that Gruesome has it in for Vitamin? And could Kandikane get hit instead? Would that fulfil Vitamin’s prediction from soooo long ago?

Gruesome is as cool as a cucumber! They should hire him to head the MCU!

Sam reminds me of Tonto. What used to happen every time Tonto went to town to get the sherriff? He’d get beat up but two or three guys and thrown in jail. In Sam’s case, in a broom closet with a sore head. Paging Dick Tracy!

Morning, Tracyville!Well, this is certainly an unexpected turn of events!

Stilldamatt, don’t you EVER sleep? Is it THAT noisy under that bridge? Looking at your last post, that would make it 3 am Central time!

Like that ‘straightening’ of the Tie … Bit . Is it part of Mike’s script, or a Staton addition to it ?

This won’t be a killing, like a finger, they won’t ‘cut off’ one of their stars . . . But whatever took place, just like the Otis sequence it’s all ‘Off Camera’ - so we’re left to wonder exactly what happened (?) At first one may think it’s in deference to TMS, preferring not to show physical violence, but then, you realize we’ve seen this ‘play’ before (yet then, not - as a shield from violence) . . .

Something occurred, but readers aren’t sure what did (?) Guessing activity - at " what may have happened " can dominate the ‘Comments Board’ for a day (maybe two?) Then, you’re left to ‘speculate’. And If Vitamin’s around, ‘take care’ - (like a tool, he’s ‘acted’ like a Goebbles - on occasion) - a Minister of Misinformation

I’m starting to realize this may be part of Mike’s preferred writing style, a technique to build up of “uncertainty”, keep the readers “guessing”. Like you hear a Scream, and wonder what happened around the corner (?) And Mike, might just give us the long wait - too. It was a feature not readily evident in his earlier stories . . . they were too short then, no (panel) time to posture, or for readers to contemplate . . . back then, the LID slammed Shut in 6 weeks !

With a cynical cap on, we recall Otis ‘leaning on the broom’, a ‘caricature’ of visual inaction, and realize we’ve been here 12 weeks now, a time when the most ‘stimulating’ ACTION actually seen - is likely that Kandicane Kiss on Vitamin’s cheek ! ;-)

I doubt that Sam said, “Sure, go ahead, finish the show.”Maybe Gruesome has him bound and gagged like the way Jonathan did to Mortimer in the show.

This does nto bode well for Senor Catchem! Perhaps it is HIM that was stuffed in the bag atop the crate?!?!

Sam probably got stuffed in one of those crates we saw yesterday.

For those who may not know Wet & Soggy. Her sister is in the hospital. Doctors removed a blood clot from her leg but there is no circulation in the leg yet. Doctors may have to amputate below her knee. Prayers are appreciated. Thanks.

If Gruesome had “offed” Sam, why would he stick around to finish the play? You might think he’d take off then and there, especially knowing Tracy is in the audience.

Since I am unable to distinguish fun from sarcasm, please refer to me simply as, Vista Bill. I really don’t like anyone selecting a ‘nick name’ for me. We are all here for the pleasures of commenting on the DT strip and remarks by other commenters, but I do have a few strange quirks.

I agree with Vista Bill. I don’t think it’s a good idea to create nicknames for people. You never know how someone might take it. Some may be okay with the back and forth humor and insults but I have seen it get out of hand especially in other forums where politics is involved. As Vista Bill said, I just try to get along with other people and have a friendly discussion.
