Be careful, Luann, on how you try to describe Dez’s aura.

She gets her in a minute what took us years affectionate snark from Berny

That would be nice, and for that reason, probably won’t happen.-Luann will continue to subject herself to the sarcasm of someone who used to be a friend, out of misplaced loyalty.

Not all 18 year olds know exactly what they want to do, or have no contradictory impulses.-Maybe the Evanses have lost interest in Luann. They seem uninterested in whether people use her as a punchline or a punching bag.-I’m increasingly disappointed, so I guess I’ll just head elsewhere.

Let’s hope Dez doesn’t meet Gunther. If she saw his aura, she would immediately stage an exorcism.

Dez is a person with very poor sense of boundaries. I’d ignore her.

Dez speaks for many of us, I suspect….

Let us hope, then, that Dez can give an objective view of what Lu needs to do with her life, and that Lu will pick up on it.

Poor Luann, she even gets dissed by Dez. Maybe friends are over-rated!

Luann just keeps clueless cruising along, and somehow Bernie keeps getting hotter & more ‘together’.

While, even without the hair art, Bern’s aura continues to beam. :)

I’m with Fiamatta; a real friend will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. If someone agrees with you 100%, one of you is superfluous.

Actually, I’m interested as to how this will go. None of us can argue that Dez is right, and coming in this roundabout way, maybe it’ll help. Dez is being totally relaxed, supportive, and pretty much blaming herself for failing at aura reading, when in fact she’s got it spot on, she’s just not used to seeing this.

Its not science, no, but some people use interesting quackeries to hide that they’re fairly good at reading and manipulating people. This can be with entirely good intentions – which despite eveyrthing Dez appears to have. This might actually go somewhere – everyone else has been too impatient, methinks, I see the puppet strings starting to coalesce in an entirely interesting manner.

I think Luann and Bernice will always be friends. It’s kind of like Lemont and Clyde in Candorville.

Brdshtt…. how do you read comments on your phone? The GoComics App I have only lets you see the comics, but not the comments. I have to look at comments on an actual computer.

THANK YOU! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I was presuming incorrectly that Brdshtt was using the GoComics designed app for their site. I did realize I could use my phones general browser (in my case, Safari), and get there as well, but it is a bit too clunky for me with my thick thumbs. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++What I was really hoping for was a GoComics App Update that allowed us to see and potentially write comments from our phone (like a few of you suggested).

Dez and Rosa belong together. Both are idealistic, and unrealistic. Gunther’s hug would require a lot longer than 28 seconds and his aura would make even Marcel Marceau scream. What Gunther really needs is one of Crystal’s “goth” girls to be his dominatrix.

Let’s pretend you gained a little weight. You know you did, and you’re trying to do sonething about it, but you have a “friend” that points it out everytime you talk. She even references her new roommate who is in-shape, unlike you. You know you’re not in shape, but why have a friend who puts you down for it, every second of everyday for that matter?.Well, to start, this is the first time this alone-with-boyfriend-in-hotel-at-18 subject has ever been brought up, actually. Luann really is clueless about where to go and what she wants from life. At this point, that’s NORMAL, and her response of ‘dip toes in everything affordably’ is pretty spot-on. Okay, good. But this is a big move, bigger than taking bunches of classes to figure out your path. Sure, she’s 18, she COULD just tell her parents to ‘stick it’ if they don’t approve. Would she want to? Would it be best? That sort of thing can get really painful, really fast! Is it, maybe, less stressful for all if she’d just ask their opinions before forcing it on them? See, things to ‘think’ about..The thing is that Luann does NOT seem to see the potential pitfalls looming in front of her. To use your analogy of gaining weight, she can’t tell at all. Should a good friend point her toward some additional aerobic activity, or to the plus-sized women’s department and a fanny of sugar snacks? Also keep in mind how concerned Luann happens to be with her appearance and the clothing she wears..Granted, there’s nothing wrong with that look if it’s what you want out of life. But in the analogy, it’s not wanted, so… 0:-)

Not the same kind of ‘love’.-To me, the more interesting thing was that Luann was so involved with communicating with Dez that Bernice’s response to Dez just sort of ‘rolled right off her back.’. Second time we’ve seen strategic placement of dialog balloons…

Luann has always been a punching bag. I’m just happy that she has a nice boyfriend now who does seem to respect her.
