Annie’s dress doesn’t really flatter Joe’s modern iteration, I think he might be well-advised to go for the ‘jeans-and-shirt’ look Ted Slampyak employed.
I seem to remember that Honeymoon wore a Wrist-Wizard and the new models have a Tazer built-in. I think TJ needs gettin’ “Tazed”, as they say in the hood.
One of the other lessons I learned at a very young age in Catholic grammar school was bullies very much come in all shapes, sizes, and persuasions. Spending lunch hours getting gleefully bashed around like a Spaldeen between a white girl from the neighborhood who was second in the class in grades behind me and a Black girl from the projects who was no dope either (with everyone else getting shots in when they had a chance) taught me that real well. About once every six or eight weeks the nuns had to scrape up what was left of me on the playground and call my grandmother to pick me up.
Maybe the bully is only tanned, not a Poc. The worst thing is, if one reacts phisically to harassment he’ s likely to be punished, when the provocateur bully plays the victim.
My very first thought after reading panel 3 was "uh oh Honeymoon has no idea her antennae might “fire” if she gets really angry" I suppose we will see soon if it happens.
Even if we don’t see him now, or for some time to come, I have a feeling that Punjab is never too far from the “Little Princess” whose special protector he is, by Daddy’s orders….
Meanwhile, although no doubt Annie and Honeymoon could mop the floor with these two posturing wannabe bullies, I expect them to have the sense to refrain from any serious physical altercation, which would get them into as much trouble as the two provocateurs (it would be “she said…”; “No, she said….”). Rather, I think (as I said before) that this is just a preliminary skirmish in a more protracted conflict….
UPDATE ON MY SONS FIL: He has some brain damage. They are running an EEG on him. They will monitor him for several days.-——-UPDATE ON MY LEFT EYE: It hurt worse last night than in the past several days. I am going to call the doctor after breakfast.
Starman, I wasn’t able to copy and paste your post above and respond to it for some reason, so I’ll just say here that I’m sorry to her about your eye problems and that I hope your eye gets better soon. Please keep us updated re your son’s FIL.
People like TJ never change. They are born evil and are evil forever. I hope Honeymoon does a number on TJ and her friend, without getting in trouble herself.
@StarmanStarman, I always appreciate your upbeat attitude here and on other forums. Please know that I’m still praying both for you and your son’s father-in-law.
@AnyfaceI enjoyed the cartoon link. The “Honeymoon Express.” How appropriate.
Fleischer Studios did some amazing animation with the 3-D multi-plane backgrounds, and character movement synchronised with orchestrated music. And this was in the 1930s! It’s hard to believe that cartoon was released 80 years ago.
WHY “R” sum sew dat blame hurtful … all of da time?Maybe because their parents didn’t take the time to teach them right from wrong. My dad was pretty easy but mom on the other hand would ware me out. When I was in 5th grade at Central Elementary Grade School in Morgantown, West Virginia, Mrs. Greg hit me in the back of the head with a ping pong paddle (didn’t hurt) but when my mother Eva Mae got wind of it … the next day while we were in class my precious mommy walked in unannounced and right in front of all that class … grabbed Mrs Greg pinned her against the chalk board, while holding her there with one hand and put the index finger on the other against Mrs. Greg’s face and said with an angry voice, you may paddle my son (because back in those days the teachers did whop us when needed) but do not hit him or any other kid in the head with something! I was so proud of my mom for that. So were the other kids, and needless to say Mrs. Greg (an adult bully) was not so quick to do anything she felt like doing to us. In fact she was pretty darn nice to me after that. And all of my classmates thought mom was cool as well. My mom just had her 87th birthday last month and she is one of the few people on this planet that I fear (still). She’s not in the best of health these days but she does alright. Her mind is still sharp, she still does all of her shopping, takes care of a 3000 “+” square foot house, drives her car and I am sure that wonderful godly woman prays for all of her children and grand & great grand children every day. She loves Jesus Christ and talks to him like a friend. .Another cool memory of Central School was each day at least two of the students would ceremoniously raise and take down the American flag. I never got to do that but I was always impressed. .Each day at the playground we also had to put up the swings and take them down (with a step ladder). I did get to do that every once in a while. After I went on to junior High the school decided to leave them up. And they were still there after more than 50 years, but since then the school was torn down, the playground removed and a large apartment complex has been built in its place.
I want to mention that we prayed the Lord’s prayer and said the pledge of allegiance everyday at Central and at all of the schools in the county back in the 50’s & 60’s. Patriotism and loyalty used to be important. Back then if someone would say some of the things they say today about the President of the United States it would be considered treason. I did not vote for President Obama but as our nation’s leader I stand behind him. The free world does not live in peace any longer ! If you want to know why please read 1st Timothy 2: i-3
Oh, and continued good wishes and positive energies towards Starman1948 and his son’s F.I.L.
Don’t hesitate to get that eye checked again if there’s pain involved.
As I recall, when my dad underwent what seems to have been a very similar procedure, he’d said the pain was worse on the second or third day: I’d guess that might have been a combination of post-op swelling and the last of the local anesthetics leaving his system, but I’m not a doctor.

Even full albinos have some color. Just white an pinkish red. Still, yeah, POC works as a handy short cut.
Honeymoon counts as “bi-racial” and a “PoC” on those grounds, I’d think, from a practical standpoint as well as a metaphorical one for story purposes.
