See how cleverly Anja’s observation ties in with Tracy’s hiding place? Lame puns involving U-boats really get under my skin. It’s a subcutaneous thing with me.
Hhhmmm….the sub’s entrance at the museum is through a top hatch? Interesting. I bet that’s great when there’s a group of school kids climbing down. No liability there.
Anja Nu should wear a mask and Johnny Nothing should show his face. He is probably not as ugly as she is. She should wear a robot costume. That slot in her face where people have a mouth would look more appropriate on a robot.
You know, a Magnetic Space Coupe looks a little like a submarine….
How will we all be doing when we’re 81, like Mr. Locher is? Maybe we’ll be retired! Maybe we’ll still be capable of doing our jobs! Maybe both of the above! But hopefully not neither of the above….
King Pynn’s body is still there bleeding on the stage !
Is he dead or dying (?) No one seems to know or care (?) And the Author has simply ignored it
Where are Stage Assistants - “Lime Light”, “Starbright” and “Samscript” ? Are they calling an Ambulance ? - Or have they just dissapeared into thin air ? An Intermission was announced. The Actor continues to lie there.
No one is concerned ?
This story seems to be written in Secretarial “short hand”.
Normal,’LOGICAL ACTIVITY’ is just ignored in this tale - as if it never happened, or it’s so unimportant there’s no need to show even a COVERING panel or two on the scene back there. It’s a story bereft of a sense of authenticity, sadly revealing the lack of ”effort” and ”thought”, the Author ‘bothered’ to bring to the table.
The Blank shoots at Tracy, hits the torpedo, which for reasons unknown, is still armed after 50-60 years. The torpedo explodes, mercifully killing the Blank, Tracy, half the people in the Science Museum (Unless in a contracted/small state, then it would kill everyone), then Mr. Locher can retire with a clear conscience and a clean slate.
I have run out of snark. What is there to say? People simply don’t act like this. Tracy NEVER ran from a fight, especially after TWICE disarming his foe. Everyone in this story is acting like actors in a Robert Altman movie. I will watch one of his flicks, and at some point think “People never act like that.”
Submarines are really bad places to hide. Narrow clearances (WW2 subs weren’t made with human comfort in mind) make for low ability to maneuver, and it makes an excellent trap for when your assailant gets the drop on you and you’ve no place to go.
Side note: I got to walk through a B-17 once a couple of years back. Same type of problem, narrow passages and excellent line-of-sight for an assassin to gun you down would have made that the very devil to try to escape from a killer. Well, maybe if you fired up the engines and took off (this plane actually does fly).
Vistabill your brave putting yourself where everyone can see. Are you at home?
btmosley your not the only one. I have a son 27 who needs work. TV news did an article about so many garage sales popping up for people out of work and trying to make money. Only thing when they charge too much the buyer like me can walk off.

The Blank/Johnny Nothing found Tracy’s hiding place rather quickly. And the audience patiently awaits the resumption of the show…

@ Araldite–the propeller is for a torpedo.

Dick, a special note (though by now a tad late).

No. That was taken earlier this week when I visited the firm I retired from. I was sitting at my old computer.
