Great art today by Joe Staton, and a dramatic farewell by Abner. But how is Mr. Bribery helping Abner to implement his plan to kill Tracy?

So rare to see a misspelling in this strip, but in the 2nd panel, “impliment” should be “implement.” No biggie, but someone was going to point it out eventually. :)

We were debating a little yesterday whether Stiletta may have been working with the Blackhearts, and today’s first panel argues they were working independently of each other, given the separate contracts on Tracy’s life.

… and, POOF!, just like that Abner vanishes once again in a puff of smoke after leaving a cryptic message. (I suppose cryptic messages are what results from living in a crypt.)

Somehow I don’t think Mr. Bigg wants to push Kadaver too hard….might be bad for his health…..

Good morning, DT fans! Abner didn’t really answer Mr Bigg’s question, and his cryptic remarks sound like smoke and mirrors, too. Maybe Abner is falling in love with DT like Blackjack? Maybe Abner has a split personality and IS Blackjack!

Two "outstanding " contracts? Shouldn’t it be two pending contracts? And it’s the one with the defunct Stiletta null and void?

I thought his entry was dramatic, but Abner Kadaver’s mystical exit is even better! He may be a mere mortal like the rest of us, but he sure has got “moves”!I’d like to imagine that in his warped but strong personal code of conduct—-his substitute for morality—, Kadaver believes he is still obligated to Mrs. Flattop even though she is is dead fish dead and is determined to pay her what he owes; i.e., Tracy’s life. He is such fun! (Rikki, too!)But Tracy is not so easy to bring down, as Kadaver has already seen. And, besides, we have wheels furiously spinning within wheels as sub-plot elements slowly but inexorably begin to mesh. Or is that “mess,” or “miss”?

Abner aint playing around! As “unimpressed” as Mr Bigg may be, Abner is even less so. Putting Bigg in his place while t the same time restating and confirming the death of Stiletta all in a few short sentences…PLUS verifying that Stiletta and The Blackhearts are/were indeed two separate entities.

VEEEERRRRRYYY NICELY DONE TODAY!!!

By the way…anyone ELSE remember that Mumbles is still in Florida along with the unaware Johnny (THE MAN!!!) Adonis?

Seems theres interjections here and there to make sure everyone “gets air time” but the problem is that theres SO MANY PEOPLE INVOLVED it gets messy.

Even if he was unpaid, Abner seems the type who wants to fulfill a contract. He also may take a special pleasure in taking out Tracy.

Top of the morning everybody-———There is another possibility. Abner may know about The Diet Smith kidnapping which will get definitely Tracy’s attention. He may have assumed that Mr Bigg ordered the kidnapping.-———Have a prosperous day my friends.

As several commentators have suggested, Mr Bigg may have been listening in to Moon Head’s conversations. In which case he would know about the kidnapping.

I’m sure that when we finally see Mr. Bribery, he’ll look as bad as Abner, and won’t be able to walk normally.I figure he’ll be crazier than ever once things heat up.

I wonder what happened to Bribery’s treacherous secretary, Miss Deal? (another playing card reference to the 52 gang?)
