Wow, some did called that yesterday! (or this morning). Yes, that looks like Arron Marx alright. My next guess is Wally’s going come of this ditto-induced hallucination.
If this is Marx, this might be a dream sequence intended to tell Wally something. The interesting thing is that Wally doesn’t seem to be reacting to the earpiece teeth. While I’ve never answered a phone and felt teeth puncturing my skin, I would imagine the experience would be painful enough to get me to drop the receiver or react on some level. That Wally did not suggests a dream sequence.
Um, wait a minute… If someone “always calls collect”, that means you pay for the call… but if the caller then reverses the charges, wouldn’t that mean they pay for the call…?
So either they’re not calling collect this time, or they’re not reversing the charges… which is it, little Aaron Marx???
If Wally is Endtown’s only hope, the colony is in serious trouble. Endtown has allowed itself to get caught up in Jacob’s machinations and has a leader who will turn on its human appearing population when it becomes apparent he has promised things he can’t deliver. Endtown needs a REAL leader who can get people to understand the true nature of their situation and can convince them to do the things that need to be done. I could see Walt (with Dottie’s help) becoming that person. I could see Philo and his paper becoming a strong voice. I could actually see Holly becoming that person (provided that people still trust her) but Wally? Wally is a decent guy who can be very resourceful and can be good in a fight but he has yet to convince me that he is a leader. I suspect that he never accepted Endtown as his home. He is willing to stay there to be with Holly (and will return there if Holly asks him to) but he has always acted as an outsider there. Heck, professor Mallard would be a better leader than Wally.
This looks like the crossroads, where living and dead minds can talk. Maybe sleeping minds can visit. Marx visits when he wants. Wally might have been pulled there. And other things besides Marx might travel and speak there.
Here is a kicker for tomorrow. Is this little Aaron Marx an offspring?Marx and Flask……..are we meeting Aaron Marx the Second?Think about it.Marx viewed himself with Flask. That meant there were two Marx. Is the one that entered Endtown a “bad” Marx wanting chaos and destruction? This young Marx is here to set things right but needs help, he is only a kid and they, the folks of Endtown, need to correct their own direction without outside help like Marx gave Jacob.Because the Marx I remember helping Jacob was not a fun loving character like previous Marx, this one seemed bent on a different kind of fun with Endtown.Just a theory.
I see two possible meanings in the teeth phone right now.1) This is an extension of the craziness that Jim hooked into after the schism issue. For those of you that have Patreon accounts and donated to Aaron, you know that he’s talked about a special phenomenon behind what happened to Jim. This may be it, related to when Jim talked to Wally in the prison cell.2) Wally’s sense of guilt. This dates back to when the female teacher was killed, and may have been compounded by the events in Endtown. Even with Unity, there may be a bit of “survivor’s guilt” which is still eating at him
Veteran,I don’t think we’re talking about the difference between a “good” and a “bad” Aaron Marx as much as a happy one and a sad one. The Aaron Marx who was with Flask seemed happy because he was able to be with someone he REALLY loved, and his “responsibility” (beyond looking after Flask) was the relatively light task of building an Endtown for his world. (One could argue that this means he is aware of a WW III in this world’s future where an underground city like Endtown would be needed, which would be rather sobering news). The Aaron Marx in Endtown had to let go of Flask so that she could be happy and seems to be doing what he believes to be the right thing. He probably realized all the horrors that were to happen as a result of his actions (like the riots) and they weigh heavy on his mind. As far as the kid goes, he may be the love child of Aaron Marx and Philomena Flask, coming to the crossroads to help Wally, or he may be the projection of one of the Aarons Marx in Wally’s dream. It may be that Marx supported Jacob as a wedge to get Wally and Holly to leave Endtown and visit Unity. This may be a dream emanation of the same Marx who is calling Wally back to Endtown.Mind you, I’m kind of hoping that Wally and company don’t return to Endtown. I’d so love to see them explore some of the great green.

I look at the hair and shape of the face, and see a younger, human version of Wally. (I still think it’s an Aaron Marx illusion though.)

Who has lots of little teeth? The monsters that live in the great waste. This has me baffled I have no clue what’s going on.Little Marx is cute!

With all that cat fur on his face, the teeth would have barely touched him. They did manage to touch him a bit however.

Wasn’t Sarah’s last triumphant boast that she was a telemarketer in the old world? Wonder what, if any, part that plays.
