Affraid of keeping a positive mind for Nate – considering me experience with his rate of success. :)But this will possibly start good, and end bad. Or it might be like in The Buckets where she basicly wants to control him, though not deep control. Though I do hope for the best case and it eventually just fades out – like her finishing that part of school.

This is probably where she runs him through her itinerary of “house rules”………

Oh sheesh, she’s flirting, not “controlling!”

See that bashful/hopeful sideways look in the 3rd panel? The hesitant little “um?” She’s throwing that suggestion out there as a way of basically saying “do you like me and want to spend time with me…?” And he said “yes,” of course!

However, I do wonder how she’ll handle the “age issue.” When you’re that young, the difference between 6th and 7th grade can seem very large.

But it’s not going bad yet.

I have never been happy to be wrong.

This strip brightened my day in more ways than one!

Urg. My poor grammar. I just woke up. I haven’t had my coffee yet. The first thing I did was to go online and read today’s strip – and now I have a happy smile on my face.

Trudy is not being manipulative – she’s being flirty and coy, as women should be.

And as for Nate…. well, the millions of detentions, personality conflicts with other women in his life (Gina and Mrs. Godfrey) and his other daily frustrations….

….he deserves a little bit of happiness. And for the readers, I guess we deserve to read about some happiness in the papers, too.

Reminds me of August, Tommy’s erstwhile first real girlfriend in Third Rock from the Sun. She too was more into controlling Tommy than being the “girlfriend.” But Tommy did not seem to mind, and at the start I doubt if Nate will either. It will be interesting to see how Gina reacts.

This could be the the begining of some romantic stories, or a fake relationship in which the girl takes advantage of Romeo. Well, must wait and see
