At least they do in this country (USA). Been that way for over half a century, now.

Yup something needs to be done about that immediately, time to reduce all men’s wages, we are obviously paying them too much (from the mouth of the Fink)

Years ago my husband worked for an auto parts store as a delivery driver. One time his boss asked him if he could put a car battery into another delivery vehicle; the driver was a woman who “couldn’t lift it”. My husband said “no”. He said, “I’m all for equal pay for equal work, but how about equal work for equal pay? You hired her to do the job; SHE should do it.” (For the record, I used to work in the automotive department of a department store, and stocked batteries by myself, so I had NO sympathy for her.)

The studies that purport to show “gender inequality” are deeply flawed. That that fact is not more widely known must mean we are in the dark ages.

At my work, where I met my wife…we both did the same job, but the company says you can’t tell anyone what you make. HR said we could once we got married, at 1st she made more than me for the same job but then I was very motivated to advance and negotiated better than her. As a result I started making way more than her, for the same job.

Sad thing is, despite how good I felt about it. I’m rather shy and lousy at negotiating pay and such. I found out that a lot of other men actually make way more than me.

So basically its all about how good you do it, how much you brown nose and how well you negotiate. I’m good at the work, I suck at brown nosing and average at negotiation.

My wife is good at the work and sucks at the other two.

People who really get paid a lot excel in all three or at least the last two, I know people who do crappy work that I have to clean up their messes and they get paid more cause they hang out with the boss outside of work in their free time, brown nose a lot too.

Keep the political BS to the political cartoons. I come here to laugh, not be browbeaten by some opinion that’s been debunked numerous times. Parker and Hart just lost a reader.

Equal pay for equal work ~~ as defined by unbiased women, of course..But to achieve this goal, we must have all pay set by the government at all levels, of course. Otherwise, someone in LA might pay more than someone in Tallahassee, someone in DC might pay less than someone in Anchorage, a marijuana farmer might make more than a beet farmer.Diversity and differences MUST be suppressed.

In the U.S. white women make 77 cents for every dollar a man earns, for black women it’s around 73 cents, and for hispanic women it’s 63 cents. The joke is that when they put a woman on the $10 bill it will only be worth $7.70.

Yawn. Studies show that women make different choices than men that allow greater flexibility in work times but result in lower pay.

Because for many jobs, customers find it less than acceptable to have a woman doing that job. Even if the woman can do the job as well as a man. Doctors are a case in point. A lot of folks (including women) think that they need a male doctor or they won’t get the right care, esp. with surgery.

The Fink King’s version of Equal Pay is to give all the Men a Pay cut..After all, if the Women can survive on such a pittance, obviously the Men are overpaid..
