I’m jumping on Bitsy’s turf here, but come on — a reality show about an actress teaching English is going to focus on the high jinks of a football player? Why would the camera crew even be there? They got enough footage of Holly in the stands last week.
Based on recent strips, tomorrow’s first panel will feature the director asking, “Do we have that shot?” And the cameraman saying, “I couldn’t miss it. Got it.”
In all reality ,are we so sure that Alan ’s crew is filming the Milford game or are they filming a porno starting Holly in some sleazy Milford motel ?
Dory “I’m in it for the glory” Darwin will lead this junior ensemble of Milford Masterpiece Theatre to the demise of a potentially very good season. GilPa won’t go for the Mudlarks hamming it up for the camera. I see a loss perhaps to ValleyTech and the always dangerous Coach Drool.
I’ve never been a cameraman, but I’ve also never seen one grab the lens like that guy is doing in P3. We are in Milford, though, so that could just be someone getting their hand in the panel to show off their new extra wide watch band.
So I’m playing golf yesterday and look down at the watch/GPS on my wrist and realize it’s got an extra-wide band. Mystery solved: all the characters in this strip are golfers and are wearing GPS devices on their wrists. That’s got to be it, right?
You’re missing the point of P-2. He’s making a giant L for King Lear. See it is about English class. Why, i knew it immediately. He’s acting out the opening storm scene. The wind is blowing, the thunder (of applause) is shaking Lear’s little island.
A reality show at a high school would have no shortage of goofballs trying to get on camera. It’s crazy to think the director would welcome such behavior. But I guess that’s where the story is going — Hollywood comes to unspoiled Milford and turns the kids’ heads. Wasn’t there an Andy Griffith episode about a film crew in Mayberry?
Cartwheels? You’ve got to be kidding. I suppose people all around the country will be tapping keys to bring that up on YouTube as it is the GREATEST THING EVER. And speaking of the greatest thing ever, check out today’s Mopped Up Thorp. It’s definitely one of the top 50,000,000 things posted today.
Wow, before reading them I thought, “there sure is a lot of discussion about today’s strip – 35 comments!” Then it turns out half of them are about Andy Griffith. You never know where things will go.

If that “Cool Lineman” thing doesn’t work out, Dory has a real future on the cheerleading squad.
Sleazy producer/Gil, Jr./Jami trying to finger Dory in the midst of his cheerleading routine.
Normally you see socks sized 10/13 but I’ve never seen shoes marked like those in P2.

Oh, in P-1, the running back failed because (see the sparks fly) he was short (circuited).
