I hate to get all logical here but since most of the help has either other jobs and are in school, is this place only open for special events or are there other staff members that we haven’t seen. Would only one server really work if you’re expecting any kind of crowd that you would need to make this kind of operation profitable. I’m just saying that as an ex-hospitality worker/manager, this makes no friggin’ sense.

I don’t know. This seems like it may be a bit of a false start. Perhaps they should fill the place with “Chuckie-Cheese-esque” toys and games and try to attract a kiddie clientele?

The actual definition of ‘imply’ is to ‘strongly suggest the existence of something not directly stated’, or ‘to say indirectly’.

So nothing in my post about potential pregnancy of Luann, TJ or Ox was implied. Nor was my question about a bridge ‘implied’. Everything was directly stated.

I’m not good with subtle stuff, so I rarely imply anything. When I am mystified by someone’s comment, I pretty much come right out and say something that lets a reader know that they’ve totally lost me. So I was directly asking that poster: are you kidding, or are you trolling? ‘Cause if the poster is trolling, then I know to just scroll past in future.

So why didn’t you reprimand JimT8 for his insult to Caladonia? You are too confusing in the way that you condone some statements that seem like insults, while taking umbrage at others…

Will Knute (and maybe Crystal) be the only ones coming ?.Or has Mr Gray remembered to advertise ?.Otherwise, Mrs. Berger could be about the only one there. .Well, maybe Zebo and the only two other students that seem to attend Luann’s Community College..But with a little luck . . . . .Maybe the typical long line of gray shadows will appear in the background. .And it will be a SUCCESS !!!

I’m afraid that the appropriately named “Fuse” is going to bomb.

Who is Luann welcoming into the Fuse? Is this going to be like Zebo’s student art show (for the public) where we only see main characters as if no one else in there. Hopefully we will at least see the shadows of other people in the background, like people from the community who are coming to this opening event. I’m actually hoping Zebo will show up.

How much money did Frank sink into this place? It’s got to be over a couple million. TJ’s $70K barely would make a dent. He must be expecting huge crowds, every week (for what? After the Christmas show, what else is lined up?) Want to bet, though, it’s the same dozen friends of Luann’s who turn up for everything?

There are a lot of characters that other readers think are ‘story worthy’ but which aren’t featured much. We’ll have to ask the Evans’. Besides, Evans chose to make Mr. Gray sort-of not great to look at and a man of few words. All these unknowns.. or maybe unknown knowns… ha ha..

Besides, Frank had already obtained the property and started the renovation before Mr. Gray got involved. He had to have spent a huge amount before he even met Mr. Gray. So most of the money must have come from somewhere else. I suppose we shall never be told where. (“A couple of million dollars? Minor details! Who cares!!!”)

I kinda hope Pru show is a flop. It would bring realizim to the plot, and lessen Quills interest in her. Of course that would put out the fuse though.

Thanks!!! You “pegged” my statement correctly! Was trying to make a point (similar to the one you made) about the “taking umbrage” at the “small stuff” and letting the bigger things slide…
