Reading this one in conjunction with yesterday’s I would definitely say that the two of them were definitely having fun. Guess Arlo’s genes didn’t skip a generation.

80 squash plants?I would hope that they know someone who is goingto need about a half a ton of squash in the fall. 8^)

Well, we will see what crops arrive later this year. I suspect Jean was repeating the questions as figured out yesterday as he and Mary Lou were doing more than just squash. How does “Granny Janis” sound?

I miss Meg and her chickens. I had some chicks hatch out about the same time she got her chicks and they have been laying eggs for a long time. Hope the neighbor’s dog did not get into the coop and kill them. I have had that problem as well as foxes and other varmints.<><me

Who wears short shorts?

Did the colorist get their hair color mixed up? I thought Gene had the brown and his wife the blond…

We had three new squash a day from our single plant last summer. Eighty plants would be a large roadside farmstand’s worth!

Unfortunately the colorist has mistakenly colored Gene’s hair like Arlo’s. It should, of course, be brown. Mary Lou’s hair color has had different renditions and with the help of the local CVS, could be darn near any color she wants. I guess technically Gene’s hair could be too… but he doesn’t seem the sort of fellow to color or bleach his hair. As for sunscreen, I actually do sincerely hope they are covered. Sunburn is no fun.

This strip is beginning to be too hard to figure out. I think the Delphic Oracle would have been more comprehensible.

It looks as though Gene has inherited his Dad’s luck when it comes to a wife who will probably be super sexy until the day she dies.And maybe even after that…

I think the joke here is that she got her bum sun burnt whilst they were doing the nasty – guess she likes to be on top!
