Glad you’re back….hopefully to stay. Depression is really only understood by someone who has been depressed. It’s not a matter of , “Well, you have all these great things going for you; you shouldn’t be depressed!”
From someone who lives with a bipolar spouse, depression is not a funny thing. It is serious and can have fatal complications. It is a good thing that there are support groups (DBSA is a good one), and medication. The thing to realize that those who suffer from chronic depression and bipolar disorder, live with a lifelong and often worsening condition. The medication needs to be taken even when the sufferer is feeling well (That means the meds are working). They need a caring circle of friends and family to help them when times are rough, even though the family and friends cannot fully understand what is going on.
