When this story arc began, I was thinking that if this is a story about drunk driving then they were going to have to kill someone off to make a powerful statement. I was thinking it might have been Kaz or one of the coaching staff. Killing her off was a gutsy move on the part of the writers. Sometimes a jolt of reality is needed to wake some people up.
In all reality, @ Everyone — E Blast A memorial will be held Wednesday at the Milford football field at 6 PM . John Pascoe would like to express his condolences but since he can’t speak he will lead us in silent prayer . Marty Moon will give a drunken rambling eulogy .
P1- Since Milford is somewhat behind real time, I didn’t know Chief Lind had Corporal Officer Denis Cole on the force. Poor Dr. Pearl. This might be the death of her yet.
I’ve been reading this strip for well over 50 years, and this story line is disgusting. Jack Berrill wouldn’t have made his point this way. I’m done with this strip.
Does this mean that the big order for industrial solvents will be cancelled? Without that huge bonus, then how will Barry and his Mom get by, when Dad is in prison? Will they move from Milford? Frankly, he’s one character I wouldn’t mind seeing leave town.
P-1: The mystery Pick-Up is towed away and like many X-Files will never have an explanationP-2: He broke the sales record, he broke the law, he broke Tru’s heart, he broke his leg.P-3: “Mimi, how do I arrange a Flash Mob for the service?”
P1 – Who is the amateur photographer and why is he taking a photo of the wrecked car in portrait mode? He won’t get the whole thing in. Loser.P3 – Why is Pearl emphasizing “many” in her first sentence? Say it the way she is, does not make sense. And speaking of making sense, how many sense does today’s Mopped Up Thorp make?
Are we sure that is Del in the hospital bed? Doesn’t much look like him. BTW that is how the school communicates with parents nowadays. Blast emails. What happens if a parent doesn’t have a cell phone?
Actually, the cameraman is not shooting “portrait” – he’s still using a Graflex Press Camera.
Going to be hard to wrap up this story arc into a nice little bow. Boo is dead, Del is in jail, and Master Bader is still a little turd. What, will Master Bader turn to Jesus or something and that’s how it resolves?

Yikes. Is that Dr. Pearl without her signature bun?

“Email blast” is a strange choice of words. Does she mean she’ll blast the parents?

Less than subtle message by Rubin and Whigham to show a vehicle that was wrecked by a drunk driver in front of a sign that says “Smart.”

Okay, here’s what we know. Boo is dead and Del is alive and handcuffed to his hospital bed. What we don’t know is who was in the pickup.

Thank goodness Del survived!

You guys are a quite lovely group, and reading these GT comments is oft the highlight of my day, but they may well have lost me with this one

In all reality , " e blast" one of the many insider office speak terms used today. How about some blow back on who the pickup truck driver is ?

I have been waiting for Del to awaken from a life changing dream, never to drink again. Running out of time for that to happen…

MOP, Who’s going to clean up that puddle of egg yokes and albumin under the tow truck?

Okay… Not that I would criticize the artwork, but with it so bad I wasn’t sure that was Del. It could be the pickup driver. You never know anymore.
