Consider what Michael said about his sister not being pretty yesterday, and compare it to the āhumorā of John, today. Itās easy to see where Michael gets his lack of empathy or rather, his strange interpretation of what is funny. Neither of them would appreciate it if the reverse happened. If John was told that they were driving a smelling bag of slop to the dump before going somewhere because he, John, complained that they never went anywhere. Or Michael was told he couldnāt be someoneās brother if he looked ok. Sometimes, āfunnyā just isnāt funny.
I often invite my wife to go to the dump with me. Sometimes she accepts and we joke about it being a date. Lighten up everyoneā¦.if you have a good relationship you should be able to add a little humor to it and not worry about āoffendingā your spouse. You would all love the response I got from my wife the other day when I mentioned that her being in charge of doing the household laundry it was also her duty to make sure my socks were folded with the right-side out. (Iām expecting payback at any time, and it wont be pretty!!!)
If the reason for adding the dump to the wedding trip was to combine trips and save gas (and thus slay Climate Change) this group would be all for it in spades.
We drop off our garbage on the way home from the lake all the time, and it goes in the back with our cloths, food e etc,no big deal,itās in a sealed plastic bag after all.Stopping at the dump on the way to a wedding is a bit over the top though, even for John.
I can see where this is going. Michaelās next ājokeā will be to grab some of the garbage and throw it at Elizabeth. When they arrive at the wedding, her flower girl dress will be messed up and smelly, and she wonāt be able to participate in the wedding. Georgia will be unhappy because she wonāt have a flower girl.
And John and Michael will ask Elly and Georgia why they canāt take a joke.
EgrayjMost of my socks have tight roll at the end where the sock was sewed up. In wear, this cuts right across the base of the toenail. Since they are just plain socks, with no fancy design on the sides, I vastly prefer to wear them wrong-side-out.
I remember this one. They donāt make it to the dump. John drops the family off at the church and goes to look for a bin. As he tosses the garbage into the bin, it accidentally ā¦

From the flies and such around those bags, I donāt even want to think what the wedding clothes will smell like by time they get there.

Iām guessing that Lizzieās flower girl dress will no longer be white by the time they get to the church.

And for some strange reason, the dump will probably be closed and theyāll be stuck with it all day long. Murpheyās law.

Really? Going to the dump in your best cloths on that way to someoneās big day? All dressed up in your finest? There is no way this turns out well.

In some places you get a property tax break if you opt for going to the dump with your own garbage instead of having roadside pick up.

Except that John is constantly making comments like this and after a while, it gets old.
I have watched numerous relationships tank because one member of the couple kept making the other the butt of their jokes until they left.
Iāve seen more men do it then women but women can be just as insensitive.
