I’ve loved kale since way before it got hip and trendy! Admittedly with some meat and sugar fried potatoes: http://www.copenhagenet.dk/CPH-Map/CPH-Recipes-11-10-Kale.asp
I know it’s just a joke, but kale wasn’t discovered, it was cultivated. Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, and some others are cultivars of wild cabbage and were developed through selective breeding.
Yeah, I’ve always liked kale, too….and a good thing, cuz I have no real willpower about healthy eating. And the other thing in this comic (which we were taught from day one), is “if you shoot it, you eat it”.
I love all greens…Dandelions in salad, When I buy beets I only take home the greens. Fried Okra.. remember if you start with…Extra virgin olive oil and garlic, You can’t go wrong.

Just as long as you only eat the bacon & onions, & discard what is left.

Kale’s popularity and healthy reputation is a complete fabrication by Manhattan guerrilla marketer Sinclair Oberon. It is truly awful stuff.

It is better than dying. But not what I would call a major difference.

So this is where that old saying started, the one mentioning about early vegetarians being bad hunters.
