Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for November 01, 2016
Transcript:
Phoebe: What do unicorns vote on? Marigold: There are several initiatives. This one would impose a sparkle tax. This one would relax regulations on horn polish. And this one calls for the pixies in Unicorn City to shut up. Phoebe: That seems rude. Marigold: They have been singing the same song for 138 years.

Forget claiming Dana is trying to get meta with her Halloween scares. Those are way too straightforward to be a jab at actual politics.

This demonstrates what politics do. No times for holidays whatsoever unless it leaves them some gain.

A sparkle tax could have interesting ramifications for the human world. Imagine if they arranged for the tax to be paid out of the residuals for Manfred Mann’s song “Blinded by the Light,” every time it’s played on a radio station…?

I believe it may be “It’s a Small World After All” (This must be national earworm day-everybody come up with your favorite and drive the previous winner out of your mind) (The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out….isn’t this a fun game kiddies?)

Yeah, I’d vote to have the pixies shut up after 138 years of that too. Sorry pixies, but you brought it upon yourselves.

^^ Perhaps the previous poster might ponder that the pressure of this parlous period propels some personalities into peeved perorations.
Prudence (possibly) will prevail presently, and the partisan panic now poisoning our public places will pass.
Peace. 7@=e

Yeah, after singing the same song for 138 years, it kind of wears on you… :P
