Despite our discussion the other day concluding that it wasn’t “water buffalo,” Selfie seems to think that it is a water buffalo.

Selfie is left with the cattle prod as his sole weapon for his escape attempt.

Selfy seems to think that he’s in the clear, now that he’s retreated to the adjoining storage room after dumping Vic’s body in the pen, but he’s not going to get out of there that easily. Tracy and Lizz are about to check the exhibits and they’ve got officers watching all the exits. Selfy can’t get away this time.

All accounted for except one? Must be that means Vic, & Selfie doesn’t count, as maybe he wasn’t officially an employee & on the zoo payroll?

Well, sparks should fly Sunday, if he’s still got that electric prod when Tracy spots him!

Selfie’s not slippery after all. He should have listened to Posie.

If he only knew of a secret passage out of the zoo… there will be another chase.

Is that a real officer in the last panel? Or did selfie put on a fake mustache and dark glasses [at night] as a disguise?

@Dean — I think it’s the same Mystery Cop who “investigated” Posie’s and Mysta’s car crash.

Shouldn’t it be 2? Selfie and Vic are missing?

The missing employee would be Vic. Selfy was just hiding out at the zoo.

I don’t think he has been there long enough to know the entire layout and whether or not there would be a secret escape route.

If it were Abner Kadaver that would be a different story.

Wouldn’t it have been smarter to leave while the zoo was still open? Slip out with the crowd…

Hmm…let’s suppose Worthington was the cop at the accident Posie/Mysta robbery scene. If he is on Bribery’s payroll, that would explain why he was let off without a citation – at least on-panel. (It was suggested at the time that Posie might be working for Bribery.) That would mean that Worthington might help Selfy get away. Selfy may have some information about the Congresswoman’s activities that would help Bribery get to Mysta.

Flattop makes a cameo appearance – in the form of a photo on the wall – in today’s Soup to Nutz comic strip!

Today we see that it is snowing, not raining. Everyone except Selfy have coats.

……for what seems to be a pretty smart guy, Selfie made an incredibly dumb move, “hiding out” where he can be seen by hundreds a day, in the city of his crime.

hmmmm….nice ending if Vic and “Bullwinkle” used to be friends, and Selfie gets taken out by him later instead of Tracy & co.

We know who the “except one” employee is, now don’t we?

Could the “mystery cop” be a mole? The real cause of Mayor Armstrong’s suspicions about Tracy as Chief of Detectives and of the Major Crimes Unit?

Does Selfy have any real chance of escaping? —I’d guess a lot depends on the layout of the zoo and how effectively the uniforms can seal it up. If it is large, sprawling, and not surrounded by an impassably-high periphery wall or fence, Selfy could probable sneak out without being detected. But I do not expect that to happen. I think Selfy is going down, with or without a fight and/or ironic termination….

Selfy’s best move would be to strip down and jump in with the hippos. Nobody would even notice, except to mumble, “That’s the ugliest baby hippo I’ve ever seen.”

Where’s the Sunday Strip ?

New case: The Purloined Sunday.

Funny thing. The other web site has it up.

Remember the good old days of before last month, when there was a delay in the Sunday strip, and somebody could just post the image of the Sunday strip in the Comments section? Too bad, GC’s “wise” controllers decided that we didn’t really want to post images, links, or lengthy comments, and so in their “infinite wisdom” have now prevented us from doing any of that, in this new “improved” format we are all so thoroughly “happy” with.

Had to read the Sunday strip somewhere else. Spoiler alert: Tracy and Lizz have found Vic and Selfy speculates that there might be enough poison left in his selfie stick to take care of Tracy.

Being an idiot, what’s the other website?

Instead of using his selfie stick on Dick Tracy, Selfie used it on GoComics people. The chance of survival for GoComics people is nil to negligible.

Selfy thinks he’ll fool the Cops, but what he does not know

Lizz is detecting at his side, they have some work to do.

Selfy has his guard up now. Trapped beasts can be so mean

Hopes he has some poison left, as he can’t flee the scene.

Staff reductions at GoComics? Gweedo, did our “Pro” subscription cancellation cause this to occur?

I read the strip over at the Chicago Tribune’s site. Maybe I should go back there and leave a comment about GoComics’ missing strip.

It’s after 2 in the afternoon.

This is really good incentive to start paying for the comics. Not necessarily here, though…

They aren’t usually this late, must have been a problem at their end. Keep checking through the day.

By the way, this is the first actual confirmation that the selfie stick is Selfy’s weapon. Several of you suggested it early on and it was strongly hinted at when Selfy reached for his pocket recently, but this is the first time it’s been explicitly stated.

Wow, no Sunday? I remember back in 2012 and 2013 when this used to happen a lot. Makes me nostalgic for the old days. Not!

GoComics is such a low budget operation.

The above 3 links to the strip worked fine in a new window, but they were all rather small even with the “magnifier” and had an aspect ratio different from the usual GoatComics display.

ie. 2 rows instead of 3 where the top row would only have the Title, Crime stopper’s Notebook, and a panel with no dialog that summarizes the story so far.

And no issues with my Ad-blocker.

Just think: in a few hours, we will be treated to Monday’s installment – no thanks to GoatComics.
