As much as he tries to deny it, Calvin has a conscience.

I wonder how Calvin would react if he were called a booger brain. Would he take it as a joke, or take it personally and cry?

See there? I got here as early as I could, and I still wasn’t first.

Calvin definitely has a future in either real estate or politics.

There we have the root of Calvin’s problem.

Ah, socialization.

“Linguini brain” is okay. “Iguana breath”, now—that’s an insult.

Going to bed now. I wonder if we’ll be facing the new format when I get up in the morning. Actually, I won’t have much time to check in the morning. I might not get back here until the afternoon.

Just start all your insults off with the disclaimer, “With all due respect…”

I think girls take it personally

Maybe she is hurt because she likes Calvin and hopes he feels that way toward her?

But there is no question that, at certain stages of life, words can hurt. Derisive comments and a particular kind of laugh can iron creases in the heart that can never be smoothed. Whenever they are heard again, that awful feeling returns. It’s the root of the statement, ‘You can never go home again.’

My experience is that cruelty often is meant to be “funny”. But if everyone is not laughing, including the target, it is either rude or cruel.

Insults are usually taken personally.

I guess we’re getting the new GoComics later today.

Calvin is 32 and works at Acme, LLC.

One thing is a joke, another thing is cruelty.

Consider the source. Saying it doesn’t make it so. Never give anyone else the power to decide how you feel.

Even not commenting, it has taken twice as long to view My Comics

Oh wow, the new format sucks big time! I need so many more clicks just to get to where I want… Oh wait, more click = more revenue, right? Bummer for me. I’m signing out

And here it is! I like what they’ve done with the place!

I hope Go Comics enjoys all the activity from six to nine year olds, because it looks more like a children’s comic book than anything else!
