Bernice is jealous, but Tiffany was just helping Piro as a friend. That’s my take on this whole thing.

Piro staying in her room isn’t necessarily conclusive proof that Piro stole the dorm TV.

Somebody better intervene or something better happen before this turns in to a cage fight. I was afraid of this, when objects of mojo get into conflict, combined with embarrassment and a bit of criminal backdrop, although I don’t think Piro did a crime really. But this is quite a mess, but it’s coming to a head on Piro between Bernice and Tiffany. Cage Fight!!! (I hope not)

This isn’t about the TV, this is about that hunk of man Piro.

“Shut up and shut the door” sounds like Tiffany’s about to give an explanation, and I don’t think it’s going to be anything predictable, nor do I think this will come from the old Tiffany that Bernice expects. The plot thickens!

Nooooooo. I’m crushed. Not Piro, he’s just one step above Leslie. Well, at least Tiff’s little breasts perk up when she’s mad. Maybe the Russians have hacked into Greg’s drawing equipment. This is a terrible omen for the Chinese New Year.

Tiff should’ve said “Yeah, that’s the brand name. It’s Austro-Bavarian for ‘hypocrite’.”

I have a feeling that Piro and Tiff have something in common. Maybe he’s from a rich family etc

@AE2: LOL!! Great idea, but I don’t think Tiffany knows that Bernice let Piro stay in her dorm room once…

@AIRMAN: We don’t know enough about Piro to conclude that he’s either a bully (something Les showed he was in high school), or on probation and therefore some kind of criminal (we learned that Les needed to keep a judge ‘happy’, usually meaning someone is on probation and has to meet those terms or return to jail, from the conversation Les had with his uncle.) We’ve been given no similar level of information about Piro. The only thing we know about him for sure is he needs places to crash. Not everyone who is homeless (temporary or otherwise) is in that situation because he or she has done anything wrong…

Piro does not appear to be someone who puts name-tags in his belongings.

It looks like Tiffany is about to actually stand up for herself – and/or for Piro – rather than batting her eyelashes out and obfuscating her way out of this of this. Good for her!

Does being RA give Bern the right to barge into Tiff’s room and go through her stuff? hmmmm

Ooooh, Tiff is gonna get it…

As I mused yesterday. Will we see “Round One of the Great Dorm Catfight?” Bernie is wound pretty tight!! If Piro is hooked up with Tiff somehow I predict Bern will suffer a major collapse. Emotional collapse? Depressive episode? Think Greg will take it there?

Bernice is supposed to regulate things, such as not allowing Piro to stay in students’ rooms,even though she has and would do again. Happens all the time in real life. Like having a bad supervisor at work.

Even Bernice is not perfect. remember the song: “my heart says let’s go” “but my mind says no” she’s is about to suffer a big let down, though we know Tiff is not doing Piro. but someone else here brought up the possibility of Piro being a relative of Tiff’s, which is possible too. So Bernice and Tiff may end up being the best of friends.

some readers have extremely short memories. No, if Piro was a relative of Tiff’s , she wouldn’t have tried coming on to him.

Kinda odd that Piro – the experienced couch surfer – would scram but leave his backpack behind.

None of this is any of Bernice’s business. Not since she also let Piro stay in her dorm. She is such a busybody.

“That’s my nickname. In my ballet class”… Something Jon’s Lovitz’ ‘pathological liar’ would say. “Yeah…that’s the ticket!” :)

And now I can say that we have a positive ID that it is, indeed, Piro’s backpack!

Hey guys and girls you know something? I think we need to defend both young women, Tiff, and Bernice. This dude Piro, with what I joke is his mojo, is either intentionally, or unintentionally (both are equally bad) taking full advantage of our naive characters. Tiffany has let him sleep in her room, and I hope nothing more, and being a family strip, probably not, and Bernice has as well, and the nexus between her insecurities, desire, tendency to be a judgmental rule enforcer, except when her virgin heart gets in the way, and not to make this sentence longer, we all know about Tiffany’ s issues, and Piro has gotten over on both of them. They might fight, or hate each other, and even worse could get in serious, criminal trouble, over this trick. I know this is a strip but I think that the stakes are higher than we might think if you realize that both of these characters are being messed over.

That today’s strip does not end the story implies we’re in for another week of this slow-moving snoozefest. But it also supports my prediction that it would be three months before Luann next appears in the strip named after her. If the current writer of thisstrip can’t bring herself to write about Luuann than Greg needs to find someone who can.

Seems like the typical response to Piro is to caution against him, tho GE and KE don’t appear to be raising any obvious red flags in the strip.

There is more to be uncovered here. Too soon for the sweeping judgments of many a commenter.

RA Bernice, the Scourge of Justice, sure is very knowledgeable about Piro’s personal effects. She may have the Law technically on her side, but she is not being just with Tiffany. The Green-eyed Monster has appeared.

BTW, isn’t Piro still hiding there, some place where the Campus Cop neglected to check? Like under Tiff’s bed?
