I miss the old days when being delusional was a mental illness and not a political movement.

Poor Jill, maybe Danae should bring her back home. Delusions aren’t very good at protecting people from reality.

The best part about cartoons like this is watching it slowly dawn on the Trump supporters that yes, he means YOU.

I’m really getting sick and tired of these attacks on the Presidency of Barack Obama. Yes, I realize that he and his minions are lying under the ground just waiting for the chance to reappear, but at least he left Nancy(a squeeky) to hold down the fort until his resurrection.

Remember folks, with Progressives, it’s all about the unintended but completely foreseeable consequences! And remember, the Constitution may have it’s flaws, but it’s a damn sight better than what we have today.

I’m not surprised that someone has this opinion. Nor does it upset me. What I DO find fascinating is that they say things like this as if the whole of politics prior to NOW never occurred. It’s as if they have no memory of previous administrations and how they have run afoul of the people. Have your opinion. Express your opinion. But at least do so with a soupçon of integrity.

I’m not sure. Either he is actually himself delusional, or he is extremely good at using the appearance of delusion because it plays into the mindset of those who have been fed a couple of decades of Rush and Fox. I suspect that he has been living in the actual world, not that confined to the area between church, grocery store and barn, and consequently is just using those who have to further his political agenda, which is going to do them no good at tall.

I visited 9 Pacific countries for work over the summer and in every single one I was greeted with a variation of “you’re not going to elect Trump, are you?” I assured them it could never happen…

Sadly, it’s far worse than we could have ever imagined.

But the resistance is not over; it’s just beginning!

While Wiley tries to present an optimistic outcome in most threads, with humerous results, the “destroys everything” of the squelchy is already very real. It isn’t just the squelchy, but the injection of deadly venom in every element of government, and historical progress in America. His minions are in every program lead, and the anti-toxin may be too late if the “healers” in Congress remain as comatose as they have been. Remaining ignorant is a choice that must be classed as stupidity in the light of evidence rejected.

I wondered if this story line were a thinly veiled slam against Trump, or a reality check describing what liberals have done to this country (Hillary and Obama in hibernation.) Two clues gave it away, the villainous Giant Squelchy’s promise to make it all “great again,” and the fact that this takes place in Jill’s Magical Woods of Niceness, an obvious liberal safe space protected from the real world. Ta-da! Wiley is a Trump hater.

Wiley, I know that since you are a member of CAT (Cartoonist Against Trump) that you have an obligation to publish these comics. But consider this, if everything was rainbows and unicorns under Obama, why was Trump elected? Maybe people saw something in Trump that you don’t see. Perhaps the creative community (artists of all types) should step back a moment and try to understand and be more tolerant of those with opposing ideas. Anyway, your comic remains one of my favorites, and I will continue to read it every day.

“I talked to the president prior to this, and he said to quote him very clearly, ‘They may have been phony in the past, but it’s very real now,’” press secretary Sean Spicer said on March 10, about Trump’s reaction to the jobs report in light of his past criticism.

Anyone who ever took a single word coming out of Trump’s mouth as truth was duped. Good to see Wiley satirizing the delusional Trump supporters.

I’ve been holding my tongue since the ‘16 election, but the satire has finally loosened up my squeamishness about speaking my mind. Donald Chumps’ “Make America Great Again” meme, coupled with his extreme right-wing policies, has historical precedent. Including the delusions of grandeur and for-now-subtle megalomania. Just replace “America” with “Germany.” I’m not the first one to make such a comparison and undoubtedly won’t be the last. Finally, note that I have not outright mentioned the name. If people are too ignorant of history to name them, they deserve Chump as president.

Wiley, YOU’RE FIRED! You’re just another lame cartoonist who apparently isn’t creative enough to be funny without using the tired and easy old crutch of injecting your political beliefs into the strip, so this customer (read: reader) is no longer buying what you’re selling. I’m yanking Non Sequitur off my favorites list. If enough comic strip fans do the same, you are out of business, and I will not be sorry. Whatever one’s politics, we need HUMOR in the funnies, not more politics. Now, don’t let the door hit you on your way OUT!
