Iâm really getting sick and tired of these attacks on the Presidency of Barack Obama. Yes, I realize that he and his minions are lying under the ground just waiting for the chance to reappear, but at least he left Nancy(a squeeky) to hold down the fort until his resurrection.
Remember folks, with Progressives, itâs all about the unintended but completely foreseeable consequences! And remember, the Constitution may have itâs flaws, but itâs a damn sight better than what we have today.
Iâm not surprised that someone has this opinion. Nor does it upset me. What I DO find fascinating is that they say things like this as if the whole of politics prior to NOW never occurred. Itâs as if they have no memory of previous administrations and how they have run afoul of the people. Have your opinion. Express your opinion. But at least do so with a soupçon of integrity.
The tie, tiny feet, puckered mouth, orange fur⊠must be a Squelchy! And alas, it has turned Jill into a Squelchateer! Wonder if sheâll ever figure it out?
The idea that the whole of the United States should belong in the hands of a few as private property to do with as they will is astoundingly absurd. Yet that is precisely what the core value of conservatism is all about. This present regime makes that obviously apparent. It is the attempted recreation of dark age fiefdoms that is happening now. It is apparent when the greedy donât care about the consequences of their actions (Think DAPL for example, Why not go around the lake?). To the majority of those who are in power now, most of us are nothing but cannon fodder.
Iâm not sure. Either he is actually himself delusional, or he is extremely good at using the appearance of delusion because it plays into the mindset of those who have been fed a couple of decades of Rush and Fox. I suspect that he has been living in the actual world, not that confined to the area between church, grocery store and barn, and consequently is just using those who have to further his political agenda, which is going to do them no good at tall.
since this is ânot nearly the endâ, Iâll be back in 8 years to see if itâs over yet.Iâm going to miss the family, but I could do w/o endless strips on this.
I visited 9 Pacific countries for work over the summer and in every single one I was greeted with a variation of âyouâre not going to elect Trump, are you?â I assured them it could never happenâŠ
Sadly, itâs far worse than we could have ever imagined.
But the resistance is not over; itâs just beginning!
While Wiley tries to present an optimistic outcome in most threads, with humerous results, the âdestroys everythingâ of the squelchy is already very real. It isnât just the squelchy, but the injection of deadly venom in every element of government, and historical progress in America. His minions are in every program lead, and the anti-toxin may be too late if the âhealersâ in Congress remain as comatose as they have been. Remaining ignorant is a choice that must be classed as stupidity in the light of evidence rejected.
I wondered if this story line were a thinly veiled slam against Trump, or a reality check describing what liberals have done to this country (Hillary and Obama in hibernation.) Two clues gave it away, the villainous Giant Squelchyâs promise to make it all âgreat again,â and the fact that this takes place in Jillâs Magical Woods of Niceness, an obvious liberal safe space protected from the real world. Ta-da! Wiley is a Trump hater.
Wiley, I know that since you are a member of CAT (Cartoonist Against Trump) that you have an obligation to publish these comics. But consider this, if everything was rainbows and unicorns under Obama, why was Trump elected? Maybe people saw something in Trump that you donât see. Perhaps the creative community (artists of all types) should step back a moment and try to understand and be more tolerant of those with opposing ideas. Anyway, your comic remains one of my favorites, and I will continue to read it every day.
How elegantly appropriate. If I remember not too long ago that an observation was made referring to cable ânewsâ. It is as true today as thenâŠ" Stupidity is a condition, Ignorance is a choice ".
âI talked to the president prior to this, and he said to quote him very clearly, âThey may have been phony in the past, but itâs very real now,ââ press secretary Sean Spicer said on March 10, about Trumpâs reaction to the jobs report in light of his past criticism.
Anyone who ever took a single word coming out of Trumpâs mouth as truth was duped. Good to see Wiley satirizing the delusional Trump supporters.
Iâve been holding my tongue since the â16 election, but the satire has finally loosened up my squeamishness about speaking my mind. Donald Chumpsâ âMake America Great Againâ meme, coupled with his extreme right-wing policies, has historical precedent. Including the delusions of grandeur and for-now-subtle megalomania. Just replace âAmericaâ with âGermany.â Iâm not the first one to make such a comparison and undoubtedly wonât be the last. Finally, note that I have not outright mentioned the name. If people are too ignorant of history to name them, they deserve Chump as president.
Wiley, YOUâRE FIRED! Youâre just another lame cartoonist who apparently isnât creative enough to be funny without using the tired and easy old crutch of injecting your political beliefs into the strip, so this customer (read: reader) is no longer buying what youâre selling. Iâm yanking Non Sequitur off my favorites list. If enough comic strip fans do the same, you are out of business, and I will not be sorry. Whatever oneâs politics, we need HUMOR in the funnies, not more politics. Now, donât let the door hit you on your way OUT!
Sadly, Wiley â you wonât be great again until you cease your lemming-like obsession with Trump and stop kissing the leftâs a$$. Itâs not healthy.

The best part about cartoons like this is watching it slowly dawn on the Trump supporters that yes, he means YOU.
