I’m still amazed that a dorm with a security force didn’t spot someone leaving with a TV…

ENOUGH! The Campus Security Guard committed all the Crimes and NEEDS Someone to blame it on. Oh, LOOK! There’s an Unshaved, Edgy, Supposedly Handsome Lunk, that one of the Strip’s supporting characters is Madly in LOVE With! The PERFECT Chump!! “HALT!!!”

Piro did not do it, but Bernice will have to come forth.

No gun or taser? This won’t make the news without one of them being used by the dorm patrol officer.

At 9:45 AM Central there are only 15 comments. WTF?

I’m sure this kid did not steal the snacks OR the TV.

There something about Piro…perhaps he’s a homeless kid trying to get his college education, while at the same time trying to hide the fact that he’s homeless or at least without a stable shelter/food supply…???

‘Breaking, Entering, and Exiting.’

Wonder if this will finally lead to solving the missing TV caper.

One unfortunate piece of what’s now circumstantial evidence: The broken glass leads in the same direction where Piro was exiting! Another piece is Piro’s FULL back pack … likely just full of textbooks from Mr. Roth’s class, Bernice’s copious notes, etc. … let’s all hope!

My guess: Piro would not have broken into the machine because Bernice knows Piro was just there. This does look like a total frame up – as does the missing TV and scarf left in the room. Seems like somebody is jealous about all the attention Piro gets from women. Maybe “Hair” is the culprit…

First the TV, and now the Snax machine, so close to an Exit door. Oh well, the RA just might have to do a strip search.

It’s not looking good for Piro, or Bernice, for that matter.

Bernice will have to come to his rescue and admit that he was in her room until after midnight.

Isn’t it weird that he says “halt”? Who says halt, for Pete’s sake??

The security cameras will show who broke the vending machine. Piro will be safe.

Dez never returned to the dorm room. Did her class go past midnight?

We all know Bernice will cover for Piro and then nothing will happen to her cause she a main character she get full immunity from doing stupid stuff

It’s after midnight and all that broken glass and nobody heard anything? You’d think there would be a crowd of students coming out of their rooms to see what happened. There’s no way the vending machine could have been broken into quietly.

Hmmm … the plot thickens.

I hope Piro is charged with a crime. I actually really dislike the character, and wish he would exit the strip.

We all know how this will turn out. Piro will be innocent, Bernice will most likely lie again, after all she already lied to her boss and campus security. Despite breaking the rules and abusing her power, everything will turn up roses for Bernice. Interesting though they attend a college with massive dorm rooms but no security cameras apparently.

Make that two of us, really hope that backpack is filled with stolen goods.

How sad. You have a creep like Les stealing from everyone and getting away with it. With Piro, it seems like he is trying to get an education with a personal story that everyone is hoping for an answer soon. I don’t think Piro is a bad guy. If Bernice is truly in love with Piro, she will have to come clean at her own expense. My guess about Piro is that he is a military veteran trying to better himself after serving his country or some good story like that. Let us see what happens.

Ugh. I am worried at the obvious possibilities:

1. Might Piro be the vandal & thief? I sure as hell hope not. I like his character.

2. Will Piro be accused of being the vandal & thief? It seems a shoe-in here that he will be accused.

3. Will Piro have a lot of munchies in his backpack that he may have been given by Bernice and may be of the size and style that were in the vending machine? Again, unfortunately, that is probable.

The campus rent – a – cop was thwarted in his effort to get a snack and now he means business.

First, the late posting of this comic. I did not buy the daily paper, but I will to see if this panel was in it. The panel itself brings up a lot of MAJOR questions. Obviously based on yesterday’s inference that Piro knows about ways to get out of the dorm without being seen, which could be based on his trespassing, if not a student, or for nefarious reasons, now today the busted out vending machine with all the product gone, his very full bookbag, and the leaving the area, through that same stairway. And even if he is there for only non-criminal reasons (being a student, who does not have dorm privileges) Bernice is in a heck of a fix, unless he does not “rat” on her. If he does not, or if he does, what does that mean? And what will the obviously smitten Bernice do in either event. The cost to her emotionally, financially, academically is clearly major. Heavy stuff Greg.

He stops Piro and says, “Let me see what you have in your backpack.” Piro opens the backpack and the guy says, “No snacks, just a television. Sorry, son. I thought you might be the snack thief. Go on your way.”

It’s a crossroads for Bernice. It looks like Piro will be in hot water unless she is willing to admit that she, the “mighty” and (self-) righteous RA, has been breaking the rules. A few questions: how will being forced to make such a confession change Bernice? How will her going to the mat for him change the Bernice/Piro storyline? And, most importantly, will Tiffany pop her head out the door just in time to hear Bernice’s confession of guilt? Dum, da dum dum!

Will Piro give up Bernice? Or will he protect her and leave himself vulnerable?

Somebody was smoking (something) and all their change got stuck in the vending machine. Who wouldn’t go get an axe?

Congrats to Eringreen and anyone else who might have noted the stuff on the floor in yesterday’s strip!

Yesterday, while leaving, Piro thanked Bernice for the notes AND the food, so he probably has food in his backpack.

I hope Bernice rescues Piro…

Piro is a magician. In the first panel he is not down the hall, but he magically appears down the hall just down from the “SNAX” machine in the next panel. All done with mirrors

Piro is in deep trouble now. And so is Bernice.

I don’t think that Bernice could have stole from the machine because the food she brought him doesn’t look like vending machine foods. She’s pretty crazy but not that crazy. I don’t think it’s Piro but who else could it be?

Folks, relax will you? Bernice isn’t Wesley Crusher and this isn’t Rubicun II.

Maybe Piro is actually undercover campus security. That’s why he moves around so much and crashes in different places.

I am wondering if Tiffany might be behind these thefts. She lied about going on vacation, right? Is she secretly poor now? Stealing food and pawning stolen goods? OR who hates Piro and wants to frame him? Or Hates Bernice and wants her to fail as RA. Maybe there are some dorm residents we haven’t met yet who might have bad kid friends and they do dugs and steal things and break vending machines for their munchies. Oh! Oh! What if it is Shannons dad?!

Look, anybody who has his hair cut so that he can have a star pattern on the side of his head is a jerk. Piro should be arrested just for THAT if nothing else.

You guys are reading too much into this. He’s in the dorms after curfew. He’s not a resident. He was leaving an RA’s room after studying late. The vending machine had been broken into just as he was sneaking out. Tomorrow he’ll not have any of the snacks from the machine. However, he’ll have to explain why he is in the dorm after hours. Will he give up Bernice? Will Bernice incriminate herself?

This will be great!

We will see tomorrow whether the security finds anything in his backpack. He did say he was hungry and Bernice did not give him much – just snacks. Somehow I doubt he would be stupid enough to break in a vending machine. Bet there is security footage – am wondering how come there wasn’t any in the lounge to catch the TV thief?? Or is Moony U too poor to afford security cameras in the dorms?
