The bothersome brother-in-law of Brad bothers yet again to ask to baby-sit his daughter.

Just say no…to enabling Jonah.

This probably the closest we seen them to having intimacy that’s pretty cool

Quite a realistic and adult view of a young marriage—can a pregnancy be far behind? Interrupted by Jonah. So many have predicted it, so lets see where this leads. This is not the strip that we saw back in the days of Aaron Hill, but then, even in Luannverse, people grow up, and do grown up things—hallelujah!!

Why can’t TJ watch her?

Jonah buzzes in with a text saying, “Call me!! URGENT!” What can it possibly be?:

1.Jonah has a new name. It is URGENT. So now he will be known as URGENT Daytona.

2.Jonah has managed to score an audition and for some reason it is during the middle of the night.

3.Jonah needs to get Toni and Brad to take on Shannon their entire time off as he has discovered his current girlfriend is giving birth right this moment to a baby who will be named Lindy.

4.TJ visited Jonah and Jonah cannot get him to leave the bathroom.

5.Jonah has implanted motion detectors in Brad and Toni’s bedroom to go off whenever they start talking about having sex.

6.Jonah has heard Brad say that he and Toni have been married for half a year and he has received instructions from Greg Evans to correct that number to be half a week.

Dress for the job you want, not for the job you have.

(Silly if you think about it, you might need protective gear in your current job which you would not need for your dream job.)

What could Jonah possibly need and does it involve my beloved Shannon????

This is our cliffhanger, we’re going back to Gunther and Tiffany!

With their combined salaries, they should be able to get a loan to buy the house. Or, maybe work out a ’ rent to own’ deal with Frank & Nancy.

Well I hope THAT Involves taking the kid to the Waterpark because THAT’S what You’re gonna be doing…….,

If Jonah that night does what we all expect, and shows up at the door it will become a nocturnal knock turned ill.

Did you notice that in suggestive scenes we always see at least Toni’s wedding ring and often also Brad’s?

So…What does Jonah want?

A) To give them $500 U.S. Dollars

B) To give them 500 Mepos-ian Dollars?

C) Nothing….he just ’Butt-dialed" them, by accident

D) He just called to say “I Love You”, he just called to say how much he cares

E) For directions…his GPS “isn’t speaking to him, right now”…

F) Needs them to get Shannon

G) He was making Shoo Fly Pie…called to ask if they had any flies to put in it

H) Called back to say, “Never mind! I just found that this recipe doesn’t call for any flies, thanks!”

I) Called to ask if they wanted any of his “Shoo Fly Pie”

J) Is playing on the newly remade rebooted remake of a popular game show, now called “Who Doesn’t Want To Be A Millionaire?”, and thought of using them as his "Lifeline"…

K) Is calling from Theater Jail, booked on a 412 , “Acting without a Dramatic License”

L) Is calling from Theater Jail, to ask " What’s a 412? "

M) Calling to remind them to set their clocks forward, around 4 months after, because he just remembered

N) All of the above…he’s had one crazy day

O) Some of the above…part of it is for an acting gig he’s trying to get

P) None of the above….he’s stil trying to break the habit of calling for favors, so often- but forgot to set his reminder

The ever dependable Jonah! Count on him to spoil romantic moments! Worst than TJ could ever be.

Dang! Toni was in the mood! Luann was in the mood with Quill a couple times that we saw. Next time around, maybe, but Lu needs to find a good date first. For Better or for Worse had Elizabeth in the sack with a boyfriend – probably more than a decade ago. This isn’t “Peanuts.” BTW I feel sorry for whatever guy went after Lucy when she grew up (be careful what you wish for).

Six months have passed in “Real Time,” though for the characters it should probably have been only a few weeks at most.

Toni will answer the phone and learn that Jonah is en route to drop off Shannon at her house because he has ‘the role of a lifetime’ (a commercial for an ED product). So Toni will call (surprise!) Luann to ask for emergency baby sitting…

Uh oh, LOSER ALERT! Don’t answer that!!!

This is one arc I am bored with. This couple used to be interesting when Brad rescued Toni from Dirk and put him in jail, courted and won her trust, there with her through her persona struggles and fears. Now they are just two normal happily married couple. I am happy Toni is now in a good place, but this is no longer interesting. To generate interest in this couple, Greg needs to create a situation, a conflict, whatever. For me, I’d like to see Toni, being sick and tired of Jonah dumping Shannon on her, petition to court to adopt Shannon to give her a stable home…and Brad objects. He wants it to be just them two with occasional babysitting gigs – not interested in going full time. Toni ends up having to choose between Brad and Shannon.

Do not answer. Turn off the phone for the next few days!!

Nothing like a no good relative to spoil your happiness.

I have a feeling that we are being shown that Brad and Toni will never have their own home, just the two of them.

I have always felt pretty sure that Brad & Toni will end up raising her.

Maybe Shannon has run away and may be en route to Toni and Brad’s doorstep?

Like Stephanie said above…..I, too, think Shannon will end up with Brad and Toni. Instant family. And of course, that’s when Toni will announce she is pregnant. Lots of fodder for new arcs with a difficult child AND a baby.

As the guy in the progressive commercial said: “Oh, come ON, Susan Lucci!!!!”

Guess the question could be made, to ask: “Will the needs of the one, outweigh the needs of the many?”

Moral of the story: If there’s a drawback to being first responders (especially if one is married to a fellow first responder), this is it.

Everything with Jonah is urgent when he needs help with Shannon.

If it was unimportant enough to text instead of calling, it’s not that urgent. He’s just looking for a babysitter. Ignore it. Your cell phone is for your convenience. Not those wishing to bother you.

Jonah is hit with a terminal case of bad timing!

And if he leaves Shannon on your doorstep and goes, have him arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor.

Knowing this strip, Brad, I can believe you and Toni are still virgins.

First TJ. Now Jonah/Shannon. The honeymoon’s over folks.

Love the new more “adult strip” flavor to “LuAnn” (vs. “family strip”). Already have some, but want to see more of it with the “Big Four,” i.e., Luann, Bernice, Gunther and Tiffany.

I’m still waiting for Jonah to drop dead, so naturally Brad and Toni become “instant” parents to Shannon.

Am I about the only one who would rather see Brad and Toni get to simply be a young married couple for a while without becoming Shannon’s parents (which will most likely shift their story arcs away from their own relationship)?

The old James Bond response: Not now, Jonah, something big just came up.

Is this the part where Jonah gets called out of town for a part, leaves Shannon, and disappears for a very long time?

Technology is really wonderful yet there are times when much is to be gained by unplugging oneself from distractions to living a life. In other words, TURN OFF THE DANG PHONE!!! Am I dating myself?

Expect Jonah to show up at the door with Shannon.

Maybe the phone call from Jonah is an “Oh No!” ending to the Brad/Toni/TJ/poop arc. Maybe Evans will jump to something else – leaving us all of course to wonder if something happened to Shannon.

I don’t know why this phone isn’t off. Otherwise a great episode.

Ignore Jonah, Brad and Toni! Any emergency involving Shannon? He is her father! Let him handle it. It interferes with his next “big” audition? T.S., Eliot! Turn off the durned phone and get on with getting it on! You are married: celebrate your half-anniversary!

Isn’t it obvious? Tiffany tossed her makeup that is perspiration resistant and water resistant. Shannon found it and now resembles a zombie.

Tomorrow: Crystal and Knute compete for the same summer job!

Toni, don’t you leave Brad with that tilt in the quilt, Little Elvis is not ready to go back to Graceland just yet.

Could be worse: My wife’s horniest day of our marriage (and probably our last chance to have a child) was interrupted by the Sheriff’s Office. I forget whether we were being sued or evicted; but it was a real buzzkill for both of us.

Bet they get custody of Shannon.
