Also discovered shortly after: weâd evolve into both the best loved & worst hated country in the world. Whereâs my XM8, I want to put these flowers in the barrelâŠ
human, didnât they discover the new world when they came here long before? If memory serves, at one point no humans lived on this continent until they settled here.
And I would argue that the native Americans knew they existed - just the Europeans didnât know. Except for the Vikings, and nobody listened to them anyway.
You know it 3HOUR Everyone knows the Viking settled it but what is known as the US was settled by Prince Henry Sinclair 300 years before Columbus. His first knight is buried in Massachusetts with my familyâs crest on his stone. Somehow the Irish gave up this home (some suspect the local microbrewery) and returned to the land of oppression.
Iâm always amused when I hear American politicians accuse other countries of âethnic cleansingâ. They totally miss the irony of their comments. âBut weâre America! If we do it, itâs OK!â
When you think about it, just about everyone discovered america EXCEPT the natives. You canât discover some place you already live. (unless you go back to their great great caveparents, in which case you can say the folks from olduvai discovered it, which is again, everybodyâs ancestors.
Also, according to the Latter Day Saints, a lost tribe of the Jews settled the Americas about the time the Babylonians took over Jerusalem. These Jews eventually became the âNative Americansâ that we know about nowadays.

According to Stan Freberg (in âStan Freberg presents the United States of America)âŠ
Columbus: Incidentally, we would like to take a few of you with us in the boat to prove we discovered you.
Native: What you mean, discover us? We discover YOU.
Columbus: You discovered us?
Native: Certainly. We discovered you on beach. It all how you look at it.

Things exist before we discover it, therefore nobody ever âdiscoversâ anything.
