Whereas, the leader of the Republican Party has yet to discredit his support among white supremacy organizations and Nazis, but sure does love him some Putin….

LBJ said it with the Civil Rights Act, the Democrats in the south all became Republicans, or the worst and most bigoted did. That’s history, and quite recent actually.

Of course, you mean: The victory of the liberal, progressive North against the conservative South and its Satanic endorsement and defense to the death of human slavery. This was a bunch of “Christians” basing an economy on kidnapping, rape, murder, torture, the destruction of families, and theft on a scale that would have embarrassed Stalin. The labels “Republican” and “Democratic” are pretty meaningless after 150-odd years, especially since the parties switched positions in the 1930s. The Southern Strategy to court old-line Democrat bigots in the South fueled Nixon’s victories in 1968 and 1972. Abraham Lincoln today would proudly be a Democrat, and aghast and ashamed of how far his party had sunk.

I wonder if GBT knows there’s more going on in the world than just Trump? His Sunday strips aren’t about current affairs at all – they’re just Trump bashing.

I don’t think Lincoln would be proud to be a Dem today, but I don’t think he’d be proud to be a Rep either. Both sides talk a good game, but like the WWR, it’s all a Work to hoodwink the public. This is why, having gain a majority in both houses, the Reps are doing stuff all in changing the previous policies enacted under obama. The name of the game is Hate Trump, Hate Trump’ and they are sitting on their hands. This should show anyone who wants to know the truth that the left/right, Dem/Rep paradigm is mostly a fiction, and the bigger picture is up/down, globalists/everyone else. Most of the politicians are working on a globalist agenda, either from being bought or being blackmailed. If this is unbelievable, look at the major policies enacted in the past 20 or so years, and whose interests do they serve.

I was unfamiliar with doonesbury and came here to have a look. It doesn’t suit me; I prefer a more evenhanded approach if politics are the subject. ‘Hate Trump’ is a mindless reaction.

Just take it at face value, children, and enjoy the college-aged face of Mark with the crazed-by the original “gate” expression on his face. Then, remember how you felt when the proof of Nixon’s perfidy finally came to head. I actually felt sad for Dean, he was the tragic hero character in my adolescent opinion. No one fits the bill in the Daft Twerp’s court.

Boy, the trolls are hungry! They’re just crowding around hoping we’ll feed them – unless they are all Russian bots which is likely. Although the trolls could be hate filled humans who have happily absorbed the Russian propaganda and are happily spewing it out.

I know Trudeau’s intelligent, educated, and experienced, and I know Mark wouldn’t have a dummy as an assistant, yet she says “Here’s the latest attacks . . . ,” rather than “Here are the latest attacks . . . .” Has colloquial English deteriorated to the point where, regardless of one’s education, it’s okay to mismatch subject and predicate? Was Trudeau’s fourth-grade experience that tough?

There’s nothing wrong with GT dumping on Trump: that’s just him returning to his historical pattern after 8 year of giving President Obama the kid glove treatment. Before that, he dumped on every President; that’s why most newspapers moved Doonesbury to the Editorial page in the 70’s.

The reason why people are upset is because they think the way he refrained from serious criticism of President Obama was normal for him, which it definitely was not.

Trivia: do you know GT never drew Michelle Obama, or made her the butt of a joke? Not once in 8 years. He’s done both to Melania, in 8 months. Granted, Melania offers more material, but still…

Save your breath, Wyoming. They’ll never accept SHE lost the election because she was a horrible candidate and the best the Dems had to offer. The Electoral College worked as designed. Sorry, New York and California. You can’t win ’em all.

See the joy in finally finding proof Nixon was guilty of .. of .. of .. well of something, obstructing an investigation, various things which were unseemly but still legal today.

The saddest thing was the joy — not over his guilt — but over finally being able to show it due to the fact that he recorded himself. President Trump has done far worse, but he’s slippery, claiming he never said what is on video or is still on record. He flip-flops like crazy so nobody knows what he’s “thinking” today.

He’s so bad that it took someone like Hillary Clinton to put him in office.
