Even better, they don’t have to actually tell their older patients “This prescription will probably last a week or two before things get worse for you. The best we can do is try to control the pain and keep the side-effects of your latest stroke/heart attack to a minimum.”
It’s a take on our generation’s love of the Good Humor Man when we were kids. Way before AC and for chump change now you cool down and dream of the most expensive sundae cup which I don’t recall anyone ever getting. How green was my valley.
You are all glossing over the difference between THC (the primary “getting high” chemical) and CBD (cannabidiol, the pain relieving chemical in cannabis that has no mind-altering affects). Both are present in most strains of cannabis, but they are usually in inverse amounts, since both come from the same phytochemical precursor. Thus there are some “kind bud” strains that are entirely THC, and other strains that have almost no THC in them at all, but tons of CBD.
The products targeted to the elderly for pain management and other beneficial medical effects would preferably have little or no THC, and thus wouldn’t be subject to diversion for abuse, or unwanted mind-altering side effects.

[Those who WANTED the mind-altering side effects could go buy the high THC strain from the headshop down the street, in a perfect world.]
I have being against legalization of psychopathic drugs throughout my life, I have many reasons believe me you, But as of lately my stance has softened just a little you might say, Now i don’t mind if someone that is in dire need of such alternative options I can say I’ll just look the other way and live and let live as they feel the need and/or the urges, If there is a valid reason to be a user or a patient for it’s use what the heck,. . . . .Although there is one issue I am sure is going to mushroom enormously, And that is appropriate control of sales, taxes, and safety for all involved with it, namely the so called “Dispensaries” which I have heard and/or seen in the news such places being targeted for robbery since they have to handle lots and lots of cash and even tho have armed security at the door That should be a deterrent enough right? No, not so when someone is focused in stealing the only thing will stop them will be bullets, And that is what I consider a factor to worry about, But then again , That is only M H O

Medical marijuana distracts you from pain. Smoke a joint and watch a Buster Keaton movie and you’ll forget all about your broken ankle…..

I doubt that the truck is giving out medical marijuana. Does seniors are clamoring for opioids.

I’m your RX truck, stop me when I’m passing by.
By the way, the song was not originally by David Lee Roth, it was by John Brim.
