Lupin looks quite befuddled in panel 3 at this latest aspect of the invasion. The Baby seems confused by what’s going on too.

I can’t remember the last time I saw a tv with an antenna wrapped in foil. How VERY old school of you Georgia!! And of course, loving Elvis wrapped around The Woman’s neck and Lupin’s expressions!!!

Surely Superman or the Red Baron will be along any minute to save the day.

Ha ha, I love the Woman’s TV with tin foil on the rabbit ears! Sure brings back memories!

And the mutant cow is saying “Eat more chickadee!”

Ancient astronaut theorists suggest that these are alien spaceships, cleverly disguised as giant hovering earth creatures. Run for your lives! And pray to your cat gods. For only the great ancient alien cat gods can save you now!!

Guys, just wait until you see the cast of “Cats” performing!

Gosh, wouldn’t it be awesome if one day Elvis, Pucky, and Lupin would be represented as balloons in the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade?!?!!

I used to watch this “invasion” when the animals were Bullwinkle, Underdog, and a latecomer named Snoopy.

I used to love televised parades even in black and white…yeah, older than dirt. But now you get about three minutes of parade and twenty minutes of ads…so not worth the time.

Congratulations again, Georgia! Another strip in the GoComics “Today’s Top 5 Comics”! I love seeing you and the boys so honored!

Where the parade goes down Central Park West, at the beginning of its route, spectators crowd in and watch from the side streets. People come from all over outside the city and bring lightweight folding aluminum stepladders so they can climb up and see over other people’s heads. You see people walking through the streets carrying ladders like it’s some kind of festival that recreates the gathering of the turkey platter from the cupboard over the fridge.

love how the facial expressions of the baby mirror Lupin’s, especially the eyebrows in the last panel. They are sympatico.

I just love the Baby’s confusion at the spectacle. Wonder what the Boys and Baby think of Santa’s arrival at the end?

Baby looks like it will soon need a changing.I get that way too watching parades.

Apparently, unless the streets of a major city are closed periodically for a mass street-crowding event, people begin to think they must be living in the country. :)

My wife was just thinking about taking me and the grandchildren to NYC to see the Thanksgiving Parade live in a year or two. Watching the crews inflating the figures the night before is memorable also.

Evidently, neither does the baby.

The art is always beautiful in this comic, but every now and then it just strikes me HOW beautiful it is. The color, the level of detail, the expressions, all stunning. Look how effectively Georgia manages to convey the flickering light of a television set on The Woman’s face, with subtle highlights and shadows.
