    Elvis has left the building!

That’s quite a poof in reaction to a harmless little cardinal :)

In the last panel the bird has a look that seems to ask, “what did I say?”

Love the puffy tail in the final panel! My little girl’s tail stays puffy for quite some time after the scare, haha.

Elvis seems to be taking the snow well! Most cats would shake the water off their paws and head back inside.

I loved this story line when I first read it. Tell me, Georgia, did anything like this ever happen to the real-life Elvis?

Georgia posted this yesterday at the BCN website. Seems worth repeating: "We go now live to BREAKING CAT NEWS and the start of the BCN Christmas special!!!I am so incredibly excited to share this Christmas special in newspapers. To fit the entire story in, I had to “set it up” a few days before December, starting today. I hope so much that everyone will enjoy it, and I appreciate all of the care that long time readers have already taken not to spoil it for new readers! This might be a month to avoid the comments, if you want to be surprised! This is one of my absolute favorite stories to tell, and I’m so happy to have the chance to share it in newspapers and here with you one more time!"

Oh, I remember this story line! It’s when SPOILER and SPOILER. Then SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER. But it all turns out for the best because Elvis SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER, and the People SPOILER SPOILER.

When I first noticed this strip on GoComics, I went back and read the entire archive over several days. Well, it might have been two days.

Love the smirk on Elvis’s face in panel 2. Ms. Dunn can do so much with a single short curved line.

We’re known around the neighbourhood as that eccentric couple that walk their cats on harnesses and leads all spring/summer/fall (well, the warmer days of fall, anyway). I’d like to hope that it familiarizes them with the landscape around the house so that they’d stand a better chance of getting back if they ever got out accidentally on their own.

Does anyone know someone who could turn this story into Breaking Cat News Christmas Special for TV? I wish everyone would read the strip and see Georgia’s beautiful artwork, but think of the number of people who we could introduce Puck, Lupin and Elvis too if it were on TV. Like a Charlie Brown Christmas, it could become a beloved family tradition.

I want Georgia and her family to reap the rewards that BCN has brought to my wife and I.

This gives us a bit more explanation of how Elvis got outside than the large strips did.

I love this arc :)! And , I also love that once some unofficial “ground rules” were established, people are happily using the Spoiler Alert comments :) – the readers who comment on this board are definitely a cut above the average. There are posters on some strips who would take delight in thumbing their noses and spoiling it for first time readers. Kudos to the BCN readers/commenters…

My caregiver this year managed to let out two of my cats. To say the least, I was devastated. They were gone for about 4-1/2 months. I almost, almost gave up hope. Then one day, one showed up on my deck, thin and starving. It took another month to get her to come back inside. The other one, too, showed up very late one night while I was feeding two ferals. It was later than I usually feed them, so it was meant to be that I saw her. She played coy with me, but I had no trouble getting her inside. She, too, lost a lot of weight. But, now it’s like they never left. Everything back to normal and I am so happy.
