Another reason for worrying that the cats will get outside – a great fear of mine. When they’re scared, they will bolt for a hiding place humans can’t get in to and not come out, no matter what you offer them. Not even when their Mommy is calling.
Again with the wonderful details, some added (pulling my tail) and some classic (countdown clock). Love the extension cord to the coffeemaker, and new coffee brand
so I googled Olch and came up with ALexander Olch a men’s wear designer in NY who said something about bow ties. is that a tie in with Tommy’s bow tie or is there another reason for the Koffee to be named Olch??? Georgia I give up, would you enlighten us please!!!
Could “Olch’s” be a play on “Folgers”? I’m assuming that if Georgia had used an actual commercial name, she would have had to pay some sort of royalty/licensing fee.
1st panel, in addition to Olch’s Kat Koffee, the coffee maker’s black plug is connected to a heavy-duty orange extension cord. 2nd panel, “silly-nilly.” 3rd panel, “You’re pulling my tail.” 4th panel, I’m thinking that the little apostrophe marks around Elvis denote shivering with cold as well as fear.
Awww! We got to see so much more this time around than the first time this strip aired. I’m so glad! I love the way Tommy says, “Get out here you silly-nilly.” It just melts me!
Now for a trip back in time. Over on BCN Facebook, Georgia posted a youtube link to Elvis first Christmas with her when he was just a kitten. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz_aQZs1bdo&feature=youtu.be
at www.olchs.org there’s a classroom lesson about the atomic bomb, really interesting. probably nothing to do with kitty koffe, but interesting nonetheless. always something to learn here :-)
Georgia, I’m having all kinds of difficulties with Facebook. It’s like the keys stick. Sent two little notes, but I think I’ll stay with this forum. Loved the videos! The Santa in the window made me cry. THAT was the kind of stuff Mom made when Briscoe & company came to keep her company! Thank you for helping me recall precious memories! Makes this Christmas season a happier one! There’s a halo hovering over your head! >^..^<

Love the counting clock and Puck making coffee :) Poor Elvis, poofing in fear and ever cheerful Tommy trying to help him out

I love the “time outside” board. It even counts seconds – that’s how much they miss Elvis!

Wonder where Georgia got the name Olch’s. And, what does it mean.

Poor Elvis, trying to brave. His puffy face tells it all.

Elvis, go with Tommy, honey. He’ll take care care of you. Plus, he’s a Maine Coon so he’s extra fluffy to cuddle

That last panel looks like my two boys in their carriers during their recent vet trip (all fine but both need to lose weight).
When I periodically peeked in to reassure them, all I could see were those BIG eyes.

Maybe Elvis will become a better cat for all his travails now.

No. No you are not fine.

Olch’s Kat Koffee – among other things, it is Georgia’s detail that makes the strip. Always have to enlarge and go back to see the fine nuances.

Slightly off topic, does anyone watch Meow Manor on TV? My 9 month old Speckles is glued to the set right now!

“You’re pullin’ my tail!” — Anyone else having flashbacks to a feline-centric Star Trek novel from the 80s?
