That last panel looks like my two boys in their carriers during their recent vet trip (all fine but both need to lose weight).

When I periodically peeked in to reassure them, all I could see were those BIG eyes.

Another reason for worrying that the cats will get outside – a great fear of mine. When they’re scared, they will bolt for a hiding place humans can’t get in to and not come out, no matter what you offer them. Not even when their Mommy is calling.

so I googled Olch and came up with ALexander Olch a men’s wear designer in NY who said something about bow ties. is that a tie in with Tommy’s bow tie or is there another reason for the Koffee to be named Olch??? Georgia I give up, would you enlighten us please!!!

When serious cats get down to serious business, the first thing to do is brew a pot of coffee!

That last panel really gets to me. I want to reach in and comfort him (and probably get him attached like a limpet. Painful, but I don’t care.)

Could “Olch’s” be a play on “Folgers”? I’m assuming that if Georgia had used an actual commercial name, she would have had to pay some sort of royalty/licensing fee.

1st panel, in addition to Olch’s Kat Koffee, the coffee maker’s black plug is connected to a heavy-duty orange extension cord. 2nd panel, “silly-nilly.” 3rd panel, “You’re pulling my tail.” 4th panel, I’m thinking that the little apostrophe marks around Elvis denote shivering with cold as well as fear.

Awww! We got to see so much more this time around than the first time this strip aired. I’m so glad! I love the way Tommy says, “Get out here you silly-nilly.” It just melts me!

Georgia, I’m having all kinds of difficulties with Facebook. It’s like the keys stick. Sent two little notes, but I think I’ll stay with this forum. Loved the videos! The Santa in the window made me cry. THAT was the kind of stuff Mom made when Briscoe & company came to keep her company! Thank you for helping me recall precious memories!
