This is a bad use for a somewhat decent gift

If Luann had to clean up by herself, it’d be drudgery.

But by coercing her brother into helping, she now considers it fun.

It seems she’s a sadist when it comes to her brother.

What sort of sibling fun was Brad having in mind? Seeing “The Last Jedi”?

Luann want’s Brad to vacuum and scrub the floor, while the room is empty.

Then she wants to bring all of her tommyrot back in. At that point, she’ll tell her dad that the room is cleaned up.

The room will be clean.

The hallway and other parts of house … not so much.

This is gentle, non-offensive, minimum smile humor. It gives Greg a chance to rest while all of his other characters are in therapy. Which reminds me, all of my fruitcake gift is gone.

If that is her art project, we know she is still probably in Zebo’s class.

After moving all the crap out of her room and cleaning everything up, the next step is to figure out where to put everything which comes back in, and deciding what can be thrown away.

Something tells me that this is the last time Brad offers this particular gift to his sister.

Why do I get the feeling that she is going to supervise while Brad does all the work.

Does Luann realize that Brad’s gift was 150 minutes? Somehow I think she’s going to run long, because I don’t see this being done in 2-1/2 hours. I see a hall full of stuff needing to be moved back into her room and Brad needing to leave.

Also, I’m really disliking Luann right now. Brad wanted to do something fun with his sister, and this is in no way fun, it’s forcing someone to clean house. Instead of a fun bonding time with his sister, he’s non-hired labor. Not nice at all.

Never give an open to interpretation gift to any woman, always include precise instructions.

I’m the sort of person that might be considered a clean freak, and I am all about organization. It’s very theraputic for me, so this would totally be up my alley!!

Brad might have meant the gift to be doing something fun, but then I don’t think he gets the true idea of giving of himself as a gift. Cleaning the room should be done without the gripes. He shouldn’t have to give a “gift” of 150 minutes to go and do something fun with his sister.

Luann! Declare Your Room as “Art” and Call it a Day. Hell, Professor Zebats will vouch for You.

Luann’s idea of fun is bossing Brad around all afternoon. She’s having a great time.

Is there really a need for the toilet brush and pail of disinfectant?!

Is this going to be a vehicle for tramping down “memory lane”, followed by a metaphor for throwing out old strip characters?

All in all I think Brad is being a really good sport. But pulling other people’s butts out of the fire is what he does for a living. I hope Luann is grateful at the end of it all.

FOLLOW UP to RINGO. All I am saying is, IF you want to post something as specific as you do, then YOU should be backing up your posts with links to support it. Otherwise it IS just trolling for attention. Ok and FYI, I picked TRILOGY ( which is NOT hard to say, BTW) because the song is fantastic. as is THE ENDLESS ENIGMA. BRAIN SALAD SURGERY is a fantastic album, but not quite as melodic. I was going originally going to use TARKUS but preferred the avatar image.

I like, in Panel 1, Brad’s let’s-get-through-with-this stance when he takes his jacket off – kinda like a ’We’re gonna need a bigger boat!’ [or – in this case – a bigger dumpster!!] :)

That said – since this seems to be a New Year’s type story – I’ll say they’ll ‘mine up’ some stuff from Luann’s mountain-o’stuff from past years and relive some old memories!

Hey, Luann, you have to pitch in, too; you can’t leave it all to Brad without violating the terms of the together-agreement.

But I do like the idea of a total re-do of your room!

She’s got the open end of the gloves dangling into the bucket of water. I wouldn’t want to put them on!

No Luann. You have to separate out the trash and put everything else away, and this takes time and only you can do it. You can’t just dump everything into the hall.

art project… ok… it would be really nice to get back to Luann and her art in a more serious way.

Y’all re funny. Yes, this room can be cleaned up in 150 minutes. Just take all dirty clothes to the laundry room and do that chore later. Put away clean clothes if any. carry trash around the room – make that a plastic trash bag – to pick up trash which I am sure is on every surface. I would just arm-swoop surfaces, broom trash on floor to one area and use two hands to move them into the bag. Dust surfaces and vacuum – or sweep if the floor is not carpeted which will need to be wet mopped. There, you’re done. I know because that was how I cleaned my sons’ rooms. I asked them to clean and they would ignore me to the point where I couldn’t ignore the mess anymore and cleaned them myself. I am happy to report my younger is a tidy young man today and my older is better, but not by much.
