Leah still takes a bottle? She was born 1986-07-01, so she is 2 years and 7 months old by this point. She should be a toddler and not a baby, so I guess for this story she’s going to be younger than expected.

My first official baby-sitting job happened when I was fourteen. I was watching my baby cousins on my Mom’s side but I didn’t get paid because I was “family.” They were gone from 7PM to midnight. Good thing it was in the summer.

OK, lets play cops and robbers – let me tie you up to the chair now until the cops come.

Nowadays, all Mike would have to do is play video games with them until bedtime.

Lynn’s Notes:

This is a story from my past. I babysat our neighbour’s four girls. They were a real challenge. I was seriously outnumbered and had to improvise my way through the hours they were in my care. I truly earned the few bucks I was paid.

Two words – Duct Tape!

Too bad Michael does not play football.

Decades ago, when I was 16, I had to babysit my cousins. For the most part, it was easy, except for the baby. She was only about a month old and screamed bloody murder anytime I set her down. She was quiet as long as I held her, but wouldn’t go off to sleep. So I spent the next 4 hours with babe in arms.

I was never missing this family when they left the strip years ago. The kids they had were bratty and not too bright.

During my babysitting years (as a young teen), and as a favor for one of my regulars, I was cajoled into babysitting for a couple that had trouble getting anyone to come over more than once. I was young enough not to understand the implications of that situation… I learned the hard way and joined the ranks of those never to return to that home. Those kids were absolute terrors!

Those kids might just learn that Mike can rough house too, and he is bigger and stronger.

Perhaps Michael should sub-contract Chuck (Angry Birds) to handle these two.

That’s now a nightmare!
