Recently I was in a market where they had plastic price tags jutting out from the shelves. I was reaching for something but not watching closely and one of the tags slashed my fingertip. A lot of blood on the floor before I could cover my finger with a handkerchief. Watch out for plastic tags that are like dangling knives.
This time it is his finger. If luann wants more help painting, he wont be able to poke her eye with it. But at least the next finger is fine, so he will be able to show it to her if she asks him for more help.
At work it is a major safety infraction to do any work with any blade without wearing cut-resistant gloves. Last week I got a paper cut and got no end of grief.
It had been a few years…..then, last week, something I couldn’t help but remember. After lifting a couple of boxes of records on the floor, moving a couple around, to search through them……the sudden and instant unpleasant sensation, riveting through my bundles of nerves! The intrusive feel….like a hot and sharp razor…..slicing immediately, and though I tried my best to prevent what was hap-ening, I knew that it was, by that time, to no avail.

That was, by far, the worst paper cut I think I had ever felt, in such a long time!
In general, I feel like Brad does, in how we sometimes may perhaps be able to ‘steel up’ against even the threat of some of the more serious injuries…and wonder why is it so that it’s also the tiniest of them that seem to be really annoying/aggravating?
I was told when climbing a ladder, up or down, to always have three points in contact with the ladder. We were not allowed to carry something up or down by hand, as Brad is doing with that chainsaw.

Isn’t that the way life goes? Manage all that danger during the day, then come home to a painful paper cut (they really do sting!). Luckily for Brad, there is Toni to provide succor….

A good stand-alone strip that even someone new to Luann could appreciate!
